12/3/2024
The Iraqi Parliament Presidency announced the agenda of its session scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, after today's session was postponed due to problems regarding "controversial laws."
The presidency said in a statement that tomorrow's session's agenda includes hosting Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, in addition to voting on the draft law of the National Intelligence Service.
The agenda also includes voting on the proposed first amendment to the Passport Law, discussing the draft amendment law or the Federal General Budget Law, in addition to discussing the draft fifth amendment law to the Aviation Law.
The "controversial laws" have been removed from the agenda of the next session to facilitate discussions and votes.
The Iraqi parliament session scheduled for Tuesday was postponed due to political differences over controversial laws.
The general amnesty, personal status, and property return laws in Kirkuk were scheduled to be discussed, but disagreements between political components over some articles caused a number of representatives to leave and the vote to be postponed.
According to representatives who informed Shafaq News Agency, if the laws are not approved, they will be postponed to the next legislative session.
