FIREFLY:Mr Sammy says the key will be to keep the inflation down once they stop the auctions and then the notes will pop and the rate.  But auctions closing will force things. 

 FRANK: Closing the auctions makes them obligated to give you a new exchange rate with lower notes to match it. 

 FIREFLY:  Mr. Sammy also says that by December 31st we could see that.  So that means it could be before that.  FRANK:  Regardless whether it be in two weeks or two months it's happening.  It's coming.  We need to be ready...

Iraq invites American companies to establish the associated gas station in Basra

Baghdad – Mil

The Iraqi government, on Monday, invited American companies to establish the associated gas station in Basra, while the fuel processing plan for power plants.

A statement from his office and response to “Mil” said, “The Sudanese chaired on Monday a meeting on oil and electricity sector projects, in the presence of the ministers of oil and electricity, in addition to specialized advisers and a number of agents in the two ministries.”

The statement continued, “The meeting witnessed a discussion of the gas projects that are under implementation within the government program, and the specified schedule for their completion, especially since there is an escalation in the levels of stopping the associated gas burning, as the percentage is currently 67 percent, and it is hoped to reach 80 percent at the end of next year, up to stop burning completely at the end of 2027.”

He added that “during the meeting, during which the meeting was discussed inviting specialized American companies to establish the fixed gas platform in the large port of Al-Faw.”

The statement continued, “The meeting discussed inviting international energy companies to invest in natural gas fields, in addition to discussing the fuel processing plan for electric power production plants at the moment, and for the coming months.”

Member: What is your gut saying about this week?

MZ: I feel good about this week . My Iraqi contacts are telling me that this is the ideal time to do it now that their government is going on break.

Member: Nader said the 28th

MZ: that wouldn’t surprise me.

 I do have updates from different contractors and contractor groups. My personal friend over there says he will not give a rate as it would compromise the contracts.

 But I have heard from a couple others that the most common rate they are being told is $3.92 as they are redoing contracts.

 I do not know how accurate that is but thought it was worth sharing. I did hear it from a number of sources so it may be just circletel…but it does fit closely to what is expected. $3.92 would be awesome, but consider it a rumor for now.

Committee member Aref Al-Hammi said {for the Euphrates News}: “With regard to the real estate law of Kirkuk, he will be submitted to a vote with the personal status and general amnesty laws.”
Al-Hammi explained, “where it was agreed to present these laws in one basket during the session of the House of Representatives, which will be determined by the Presidency of the Council.”
Earlier, Al-Hammai criticized, Linking The Amendment To The Personal Status Law With Other Laws In An Attempt To Pressure And Get The Vote Of The Shiite Component On Other Controversial Laws In The House Of Representatives, As Is The Case With The Amendment Of The Amnesty Law To Obtain A Nuorum For Passing.
On the second of this month, the House of Representatives began voting on the amendment of the Personal Status Law, the General Amnesty Law and the Law on the Return of Real Estate to its owners covered by some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council.
Parliament did not approve the three controversial laws for not agreeing to be postponed to the next legislative term.
