 The Central Bank announces the launch date of {Riyada} Bank for lending to small projects

The Central Bank of Iraq announced on Wednesday the date of launch of {Riyada} Bank to support small and medium enterprises.

“The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq received a delegation from the International Finance Corporation, and discussed the importance of launching Riyada Bank during the next year, which will support projects with small and medium-sized loans in line with the government’s vision of supporting the graduate segment and entrepreneurs and developing labor markets,” a statement from the Central Bank’s media said.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al-Alak, announced on October 14, the announcement of the imminent launch of the services of {Al-Riyada Bank for financing small projects.

Al-Alak explained at the time that “Riyada Bank will be a different bank through its non-traditional products that will contribute to creating job opportunities for multiple social groups.”

Al-Sudani: Choosing Baghdad as the capital of Arab tourism would not have been achieved without the great sacrifices of the Iraqis

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani congratulated, on Tuesday, the Arab Tourism Organization’s selection of the beloved capital, Baghdad, the city of civilization, history and culture, to be the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025.

The Prime Minister said in a tweet on "X", followed by "Economy News", that "we congratulate all Iraqis on the Arab Tourism Organization's selection of our beloved capital, Baghdad, the city of civilization, history and culture, to be the capital of Arab tourism for the year 2025."

He added: "We extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to this selection, as we confirm our continuation of the programs and projects that our government launched, since the beginning of its executive duties, to raise the level of services, and modernize the infrastructure in the capital, to be at a level befitting it and Iraq."

He continued: "This would not have been achieved without the great sacrifices of the Iraqis, and the great victory over terrorism that resulted in security and societal stability, which we invested in improving Iraq's external image, and openness in relations within the approach of productive diplomacy that represented a pivotal point for our government in its international relations."
