The dollar price is unexpected
The US dollar exchange rate recorded a decline in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil this Monday morning.
It came with the opening of the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges in Baghdad, recording 151,000 dinars for every 100 dollars, compared to 151,500 dinars yesterday, Sunday.
The selling price was 152,000 dinars, while the buying price was 150,000 dinars per 100 dollars. In Erbil, the dollar also decreased, with the selling price reaching 150,500 dinars per dollar, and the buying price 150,400 dinars per 100 dollars.

The U.S. State Department affirmed that the United States will support both Iraq and Jordan against any threats that may arise from Syria during this important period of transition.
In a statement, the U.S. State Department said, "We will support Jordan and Iraq against any threats that may come from Syria," stressing that "we will not allow ISIS to exploit the current situation to launch terrorist attacks."
The statement added, "We have been in contact in recent days with groups in Syria, sometimes through intermediaries," noting that "there is no change in our policy towards the Syrian Democratic Forces, which remain an important partner in the fight against ISIS."
