The discovery of an administrative capital in Baghdad will be announced by the Sudanese soon

The Parliamentary Investment and Development Committee announced on Friday the existence of a government direction to announce the establishment of the administrative capital in Baghdad.

The head of the committee, Hassan Al-Khafaji, said in a press statement, that “there is a government trend during the next few period to announce the administrative capital,” pointing out that “the administrative capital will be south of Baghdad towards Alwa Al-Rashid within a large area.”
He pointed out that “this capital will include all ministries and departments according to financial allocations,” pointing out that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani will announce this capital and lay the foundation stone for it and it will be implemented and complete in the coming years.”

Nechirvan Barzani on the appointment of Mashhadani as Speaker of Parliament: We are confident that his election is a positive step

Shafaq News / Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani said on Friday that the election of Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani as Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives is a “positive step.”

He added in a statement in response to Shafaq News Agency, “I extend my sincere congratulations and congratulations to my dear brother Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani on the occasion of his election as Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, wishing him all the best.”

President Barzani continued, “We are confident that his election represents a positive step towards a new stage of cooperation and joint work between political forces in the political, administrative and legislative management of the country’s affairs.

He expressed his hope that “this election will contribute to strengthening national solidarity, and that it will push everyone to exert all possible efforts in order to serve the country in all its components. We look forward to the House of Representatives continuing its legislative role more effectively in promoting the legislative process and passing laws that serve the aspirations of the people and support the stability of the country and its future.”

On Thursday evening, the Iraqi Council of Representatives elected Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani as its president, after nearly a full year of political blockage and failure more than three times to resolve the file.
