Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed on Sunday with Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad the government’s past plans in the growth of the oil and gas sectors.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by “Economy News” that “the Sudanese received, today, the Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Swad, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Distribution Affairs.”
He added that “Al-Sudani referred, during the meeting, to the government’s past plans in the growth of the oil and gas sectors, and the development of their projects within the government program, through licensing rounds in which the investment of many oil and gas fields were contracted, in addition to investing in associated gas projects, and oil derivatives production projects.”
With regard to cooperation with the OPEC Plus Group, during the meeting, they stressed “the importance of partnership with oil-producing countries, with the aim of maintaining the stability and balance of global oil markets, and Iraq’s commitment to what was agreed within the framework of the group, including voluntary reductions and compensation for the increase in production, according to the updated table provided by the Ministry of Oil to OPEC.”

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Galibaf said on Sunday (October 27, 2024) that Tehran’s response to the Israeli attack would be decisive.
During a session of parliament to discuss the Israeli aggression against Iran, Galibaf said that “although the military action carried out by the Zionist regime against Iran was negative and turned into another defeat of this regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers itself the owner of the right of self-defense within the framework of the inherent right to legitimate defense.”
“The response to Israel will be decisive and Article 51 of the UN Charter allows it, and the response to this aggression will be decisive and according to the requirements,” he said.
“The United States, which is the main supporter and partner of all war crimes and crimes committed by the Zionist regime, and in order to stop the killing of innocent people in Gaza and Lebanon and prevent the spread of instability and insecurity in the region, must curb the illegitimate Zionist regime, impose a ceasefire and make the region stable,” he said.
He pointed out that “comparing the second operation of the honest promise with the recent actions of the usurper regime is clear evidence of the deterrence power enjoyed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government, on Sunday, called on employees and public sector workers to speed up the registration with the biometric system before November 20, warning them that the Federal Ministry of Finance stops the salary of anyone who does not have a biometric code.
The ministry said in a statement today that based on the agreements and understandings concluded between the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region and the Ministry of Finance in the Federal Government on the issue of solving the technical problems of the salary list of employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government should the following:
First: All employees, retirees, people with special needs and heirs of martyrs who have not registered themselves in the biometric system must register before the date (2024/11/20).
Second: The decision to register in the biometric system includes all those employees and salary collectors who are abroad for various reasons or leave without salary or study and others.
Third: Every employee or who receives a salary in the Kurdistan Regional Government and does not have a biometric code until the date (2024/11/20) whose salary will be suspended by the Ministry of Finance in the Federal Government, and he will be responsible for this.
