Iraqi analysis: Iran will not respond to the latest Israeli attack

Al-Yasiri said in an interview with Baghdad today that “Iran will not respond to the recent Israeli bombing because it does not want to expand the conflict and does not want to be in a direct war with the entity, it wants to keep the war with Israel through its arms of factions in the region.”
He pointed out that “Iran is well aware that any new bombing by it on Israel, the entity’s response will be different and may include important and strategic goals inside Iran, especially since the recent Israeli strikes on Iran were so weak and did not include oil and nuclear facilities for the presence of great international pressure on Israel, but any new Iranian military action will lead to a different response and may be supported internationally, and this is what Tehran realizes and therefore it will not respond.”
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Galibaf said on Sunday (October 27, 2024) that Tehran’s response to the Israeli attack would be decisive.
During a session of parliament to discuss the Israeli aggression against Iran, Galibaf said that “although the military action carried out by the Zionist regime against Iran was negative and turned into another defeat of this regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers itself the owner of the right of self-defense within the framework of the inherent right to legitimate defense.”
“The response to Israel will be decisive and Article 51 of the UN Charter allows it, and the response to this aggression will be decisive and according to the requirements,” he said.
“The United States, which is the main supporter and partner of all war crimes and crimes committed by the Zionist regime, and in order to stop the killing of innocent people in Gaza and Lebanon and prevent the spread of instability and insecurity in the region, must curb the illegitimate Zionist regime, impose a ceasefire and make the region stable,” he said.
He pointed out that “comparing the second operation of the honest promise with the recent actions of the usurper regime is clear evidence of the deterrence power enjoyed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The Israeli army spokesman said on Saturday that dozens of fighters were participating in attacks on targets in Tehran, Mashhad and a power plant in Bakraj.
The Israeli army spokesman said in a statement seen by Baghdad Today: “The army is now attacking military targets in Iran with precision, in response to the ongoing attacks launched by the regime in Iran against the State of Israel in recent months, in accordance with the directives of the political level.”
“The Israeli army is fully prepared to attack and defend, and we are following developments from Iran and its proxies,” he said.
“The Israeli army is constantly assessing the situation, and at this stage there is no change in the directives of the Home Front Command,” the spokesman said.
Media reported that very large numbers of warplanes and refueling aircraft are flying in the sky of Israel.
Before that, the Iranian news agency “Fars” reported hearing several explosions in the capital Tehran at dawn on Saturday, without specifying their source.
