Iraq’s oil exports to Czech Republic to replace Russian supplies, 21 OCT

Iraq’s oil exports to Czech Republic to replace Russian supplies

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky, said on Friday that Iraqi oil supplies to the Czech Republic should replace oil supplies from Russia starting in 2025.

Lipavsky’s remarks took place during his meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, where they discussed investment opportunities for Czech companies and the security situation in the region, according to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

In a joint press conference following the meeting, Hussein expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its unwavering support of Iraq in different fields and emphasized the need to promote cooperation to defuse the crisis in the Middle East and prevent the war from spreading to other countries.

In light of the effects of the current drought on Iraq, Hussein also reaffirmed Iraq’s desire to benefit from the Czech enterprises’ experience in areas of clean energy and water management as well as addressing the effects of climate change.

The meeting addressed strategies to increase trade exchange between the two countries as well as investments in the Iraqi oil sector to diversify oil exports to European countries.

In light of the experience of the Iraqi security forces in fighting terrorist groups, the two sides talked about security cooperation and the exchange of intelligence information.

Q & A - Member - What's your view on this one with regards to "double dipping", Ginger?

💢Ginger: For the most part it's pretty much accurate - but the point is we'll only get one chance at a special rate or contract rate. And true -- they DO NOT want people exchanging one currency and using their funds to turn around and buy more currency or bonds to then get a HUGE return on investment. That's not really fair and I agree with it.

But no they cannot stop you from exchanging the foreign currency for the street rate.

It's true that you will only have one opportunity to get the special rate (for speculators in this who are awake and very aware like you and me are) or the contract rate. So IMHO it makes sense to do it all at once.

But other baskets of currency are expected to revalue at a later date.

I would presume more than six months or more down the road. If you buy some of that now, before the Camper Event begins, I don't see why someone wouldn't be able to exchange when the future baskets of currencies revalue.

IMHO it wouldn't be fair for them to stop you.

But yeah, if you use revalued rate on VND to buy said "future baskets" - yeah, I agree that would be shady.

For me, personally, I don't care about Future Baskets Revaluing. I've known about this Camper Event since 2009 and when I go - I'm Done with it. Like stick a fork in me DONE. No interest in riding this rollercoaster 🎢 anymore, once I go camping. Finito!

Does this help hon? 🙂

Without Reforms, Iraq’s Oil Boom Could Turn to Bust

Iraq is very dependent on oil as revenue. This is why we are witnessing current banking reforms going into play to sustain their country going forward.

Efforts have been made in agriculture and metal markets to stabilize ongoing efforts to grow in capacities beyond oil markets.

Oil modifications such as the article seen above will help Iraq transition into New Economic Developments.

The revenue gained from the Oil Market will help Iraq move forward into new venues.
