Al-Sudani discusses with the US ambassador the files of his upcoming visit to Washington

  Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed today, Wednesday, with the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanoski, the relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen them, and confirm the continuation of bilateral dialogue rounds and the Joint Supreme Military Committee, concerned with regulating the termination of the tasks of the international coalition in Iraq.

The meeting also discussed, according to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Office, a copy of which {Euphrates News} received “the files that will be presented during the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Washington, the mechanism of cooperation within the strategic framework agreement between Iraq and the United States, and the committees formed in this regard.”

* Iraq is one of the 8 nations including Libya, Somalia, Algeria, Lebonese Republic that are ascending into the WTO...

* Iraq has teams of ppl on streets advising ppl to use bank cards instead of Dinar ahead of the switch over.

Easier for everybody buying and selling...easier for compliance...

* Iraq has said it will fix the international trade mechanism for trade on March 1st. This has been out there for over a month already.

* On Monday Frank26 read us an article about the "Bagdad Dollar" is going to plunge...

That is the US Dollar according to he and Walking Stick who he had live on the phone. 

Frank26 is and has previously said it will said it "Bagdad Dollar" is going to have a significant decline.

He implied the three zeros will be coming off...

Means new lower 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 notes are very soon to hit the streets

* Frank26 has previously said the new lower denominations have to coinside with the new rate in order to be used.

* CBI is sending teams of ppl to sweep US dollars off the streets and business places and advising ppl to use the new debit cards...They are doing this to insure maximum benefit for clients.

Sudanese personalizes notes on US sanctions: We will not abandon private banking sector

Economy News – Baghdad

Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed the existence of observations on US Treasury sanctions on Iraqi banks, while noting the government’s continued support for the private banking sector.

Al-Sudani said, in a press conference, followed by “Economy News”, that “the government has made an important way by making Iraq’s trade clear despite the challenges that appear from time to time,” adding: “All our trade passes today through the electronic platform and through the audit of (K2), that is, there are notaries of financial transfer operations.”

He added, “What decisions come from the US Treasury on Iraqi banks, which we have more than one observation on, are decisions related to observations on the performance of banks in previous governments, not the current government.”

The Prime Minister stressed that “transactions and financial transfers for Iraqi trade, during the current period, pass through a clear electronic platform, in front of financial institutions, so this process has gained reliability.”

Al-Sudani explained that “the government continues to support the private banking sector, and it cannot be abandoned, and we are working to address all the observations in its performance, and we are doing it to be a partner with us for the desired development process in the country.”

 What was the number on thing in the month of January Iraq kept stating in all the news articles? 

  How they achieved critical stability.  In order for Iraq, the number one thing they have to do is achieve overall stability, to be  eligible to revalue.  Article quote  "For Iraq to further continue on the path of stability and progress, an enabling environment  will prove essential" 

She's stating Iraq is on a path of stability and progress and continuing in that direction will prove  essential.  Meaning allowing them to revalue the currency and get back on the world stage.

Within its decisions today on the Kurdistan region. The Federal Supreme Court has obliged the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Territory, to hand over all its oil and non-oil revenues to the federal government, according to Article IV:

The second defendant is obliged to head the Council of Ministers of the region to hand over all its oil and non-oil revenues to the federal government, the state treasury and according to the Federal Financial Management Law, provided that the Federal Office of Supervision, in coordination with the Bureau of Supervision in the region, audits the bank accounts open to the region within the Central Bank of Iraq and audits the lists of employees, retirees and beneficiaries of the social welfare network.
