US official: US strike targeted Iraqi militia commander responsible for attacks against our forces, 5 JAN
Shafaq News/ His country has launched an air strike against a “militia” commander responsible for attacks against U.S. forces, a U.S. official said on Wednesday.
“The U.S. military carried out a strike in Baghdad against a leader of an Iraqi faction believed to be responsible for attacks on U.S. forces,” the official was quoted by Reuters as saying.
For its part, the Washington Post quoted a U.S. defense official as saying that “U.S. forces and coalition forces in the region have been subjected to about 115 attacks since October 17.”
The Baghdad Belt Operations Command called the Popular Mobilization in a statement “Leader Abu Taqwa al-Saidi following a brutal American aggression.”
Earlier in the day, a source in the Iraqi police said that the military official of the “Al-Nujaba” movement, called “Abu Taqwa”, one of his companions, was killed by an aerial bombardment targeting the headquarters of the crowd east of Baghdad.

Supposedly, the reason it didn’t is the U.N. filed a motion to take over the entire process. The judge denied the U.N. motion. It didn’t make any sense b/c the IMF already released it to the counties. Every country has money, reserved currency, and is waiting to go live. Our window of time is 4:30pm Eastern Fri. 15 evening until 5:00 pm Eastern Sun 17 Dec.of when this could go through. In Iraq today the Kurdistan region was told that today was the last day they can turn in three zero notes and actually get 25,000 dinar for a 25,000 note.
Sudani was telling ppl this morning in a town hall type of meeting that the rate is going to change in the next couple of days. The last day the rate changed was the 20th of December. If Iraq says today is last day, 4:30 EST is the next day Iraq time ~ a few minutes past midnight. They wanted to do it at 1:00 am eastern. This is how they want it to go down. In Iraq everyone is off Monday and Tuesday so they can go vote and the budget will be released onTuesday.All the money.
Always said they wouldn’t do that until the rate was changed. This hopefully will be our weekend. People who had bank appointments this weekend were told that there would be no fees during the exchange. If you go to the teller window, there will be fees. There is no turning back. US has released it. IMF released to each country so when it goes, they can start exchanging. The money is in place so they can operate with it. They can’t wait. Sudani saying in acouple of days.

People that have already contacted their banks are being called in to go over the procedures for the exchange, interest rates they would pay them, debit and credit cards that will be available to them, etc. Banks are acknowledging that it is happening and that they want people to choose them.
The US State Department called on the Iraqi government to hold accountable those responsible for the attacks on US forces in the country, noting that US forces are in Iraq at the request of his government.
“American forces are present at the invitation of the Iraqi government, and the Iraqi government must hold accountable the perpetrators of attacks against it, whoever they are,” U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in a press statement.
“The Iraqi government should take further steps to protect U.S. forces there at its invitation,” Mather Miller added.

FRANK: The goal of the last few weeks has been to bring the market rate parallel with the dollar rate. Remember the CBI can’t touch the dollar value but they can touch the value of your currency of the dinar… They have been victorious of reducing the value of their enemy foreign currency like the American dollar and all foreign currency in your country verses your national currency which is at 1310 right now. But that rate is now in a position to change because of all the success of the monetary reform from the CBI and Sudani. That’s all there is to it.
The black market rate will no longer be…The black market rate is the American dollar. The CBI wants the official rate 1310 to match the dollar rate. That means the currency of Iraq is too low… Slowly we’re having a reciprocal effect where the dollar is going down and the dinar is going up…

Today, Thursday, the Al-Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc identified the methods available to the Iraqi government to remove American forces, and while it considered what was happening a “declaration of war,” it indicated that the Islamic resistance in Iraq is in solidarity with Gaza.
A member of the Al-Sadiqoun Bloc, Ali Al-Jamali, said in an interview with the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “Iraq is not far from the axis of resistance, and we will continue the resistance to perpetuate the momentum of victories that the axis is experiencing, extending to the majority of the Arab countries in the region.”
He added, “What is happening now is a declaration of war, not by one party, but by two parties,” pointing out that “the resistance factions are actually participating in this war in solidarity with the Palestinian people and Gaza.”
Al-Sadiqoun parliament member explained, “The House of Representatives has a decision in 2020, which stipulates the removal of American forces and all occupying forces,” stressing that “the responsibility for implementing this decision lies with the government.”
He pointed out, “The government has the 2020 Parliament’s decision, and it can also remove the American forces by canceling the security agreement, since one of the two sides, represented by America, does not abide by the terms of this agreement, so it must resort to the House of Representatives, before matters reach undesirable consequences.”
Earlier today, a report by the American CBS News network confirmed that the air strike carried out by a drone in Baghdad on a security forces headquarters will increase demands for the necessity of American forces leaving Iraqi territory.
Security sources confirmed, earlier today, that the Deputy Commander of Baghdad Operations, Commander of the 12th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization Forces (Abu Taqwa al-Saidi) and his companions, were martyred in an American aggression east of the capital, Baghdad.
