Iran has been intensifying high-level diplomatic visits to Baghdad, and now its Central Bank governor is directly negotiating with Iraq over those funds.
Why the urgency?
⏳ September 30 is only weeks away — the deadline surrounding the end of the U.S.-led coalition mission and Iraq’s push toward full state control of weapons.
🇮🇷 Iran may be trying to secure its financial interests in Iraq BEFORE that new phase begins.
Think about the sequence:
