The Pentagon is gradually moving forward with a plan to reduce US troop presence in Syria, though a remaining unit may stay through 2026, Sinam Muhammed, the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Representative to the US, told Zoom News.
She said US officials still see ISIS as a real threat, particularly in al-Hol camp and the prisons holding its members.
