Iraq ranks 9th among the world’s richest countries in natural resources, with mineral wealth—including precious and industrial metals—estimated at over $16 trillion, announced Iraqi Prime Minster’s advisor Mudher Saleh. He noted that Iraq also leads globally in resource density per square kilometer, especially in the Mesopotamian region.
