The Central Bank reveals an integrated plan to get rid of paper transactions

The Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alak, announced on Saturday that the government is working on a roadmap for comprehensive electronic transformation.
Al-Alak told the official agency and followed by “Economy News”: “The government is working with a plan and a roadmap to switch to e-government, and there are steps, efforts and a data center, and we hope that ministries will initiate interaction.”
He added that “the Central Bank has an integrated plan, we were able during the past year to reduce 50% of paper use in the Central Bank, and soon we will arrive to get rid of paper transactions.”
He continued, “The Central Bank is working to have a digital currency, and this is a big work that is being worked on in the bank in coordination with international and Arab organizations and entities and directly with the Arab Monetary Fund.”
