IRAQ NEWS
Iraq’s North Oil Company announced that British Petroleum (BP) has submitted an updated, comprehensive study for the development of the Kirkuk oil fields, with estimated reserves of about 5 billion barrels.
The company’s General Director, Amir Khalil, told the Iraqi state-owned News Agency that BP’s contract was delayed between 2014 and 2017 due to ISIS-related disruptions, but the new development plan has now been approved by the Iraqi government.
