Iraqi meeting with NATO in Baghdad. Sudanese stresses long-term partnership
Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani received, on Friday, at his residence in Munich, the commander of the NATO Joint Forces Command, Admiral Stuart Munch.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation with NATO in the field of training, intelligence coordination and logistical support, based on the outcomes of the recent visit of the NATO leader to Iraq.
It was also emphasized that the continuation of the high-level security dialogue was carried out in preparation for the bilateral meeting to be held in Baghdad later this year.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of cooperation, in light of the long-term partnership with NATO, through the advisory role in the field of combating terrorism and the development and rehabilitation of the Iraqi security forces, and in a way that contributes to strengthening Iraq’s security and stability.
For his part, Admiral Munch stressed the importance of the bilateral relationship in the field of providing advice and training, praising the great development in the capabilities of the Iraqi forces to face challenges and impose security.
