Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry discusses with his Kuwaiti counterpart the challenges facing the region at the political, security and economic levels
Baghdad /NINA/ - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Mohammed Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom, reviewed with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the challenges facing the region at the political, security and economic levels.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Bahr Al-Uloom received, today, Monday, Sheikh Sabah and his accompanying delegation, and reviewed with him the relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them, in addition to the challenges facing the region at the political, security and economic levels.
The meeting focused, according to the statement, in particular on the recent events in Syria and the need to intensify efforts to return Syria to its normal state in a democratic and stable manner, away from manifestations of terrorism and the spread of weapons.
For his part, Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah expressed his appreciation to the government and people of Iraq for the warm reception and welcome, calling for increasing the exchange of visits between the two brotherly countries to enhance joint cooperation in various fields. / End
