At the top of the list is the salaries file.. Talabani's office announces details of the latter's meeting with Al-Sudan
Pavel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met in Baghdad with Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the region, stressing the need to solve problems and unify national efforts in order to keep regional tensions away from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The government's commitment to providing services fairly and without discrimination to all citizens was also emphasized.
In another aspect of the meeting, the problems between Erbil and Baghdad were discussed, as well as the delay in the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, which has negatively affected the lives and livelihoods of citizens.
President Pavel said in this regard: “The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan supports the decisions of the Federal Court to localize the salaries of the region’s employees,” calling on the Prime Minister to be, as always, cooperative and supportive of protecting the financial rights and entitlements of the people of Kurdistan, and to prevent the politicization of this national issue.
The meeting also stressed the need to
accelerate the steps to form the new government in the Kurdistan Region, according to the principle of true partnership and establishing a just and service-oriented government.
