Labor announces the commencement of procedures for transferring 37,000 people covered by the subsidy to the Interior Ministry

The Ministry of Labor announced, on Thursday, the initiation of procedures to transfer 37,000 people covered by the subsidy to the Ministry of Interior, and while it determined their salaries, it confirmed, on the other hand, that failure to renew the annual statement will lead to cutting off the subsidy salary.

The Director General of the Social Protection Authority affiliated with the Ministry, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that  “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani approved the proposal to transfer the financial allocations to (37) thousand of those covered by the aid as heads of families who range from Their ages are between 18-25 years to the Ministry of Interior to work as a policeman out of 48 thousand included,” indicating, “We have begun the procedures related to this file and are awaiting the approval of the 2024 budget schedules.”

He added, "These will work as a contract for a period of three years with a salary of 500 thousand dinars," noting, "These will be transferred with the salaries they receive in the subsidy, and the Ministry of Interior will disburse the difference to them. "

He stated, "2000 of these degrees will be awarded to the female component," pointing out, "All matters are ready to transfer these numbers, along with their aid amounts, to the Ministry of the Interior."

He continued, "The controls and selection will be by the Ministry of Interior after giving it the data of the 48,000, and it will select 37,000 of them," explaining, "These contracts include the head of the family."

Regarding providing job opportunities and renewing the annual statement, Al-Moussawi stressed that “our tripartite plan includes: first, expanding inclusion to the maximum extent, second, targeting other groups, including those suffering from diabetes, cancer, and spinal cord diseases, and third, graduation into the labor market,” and he stated, “in the event that the beneficiary refuses From the subsidy, there are three job opportunities for which the subsidy will be cut off in accordance with the law.”

He pointed out, "We are in the final stages of transferring the statistics to the Interior, and the final minutes will be signed and approved by the Ministers of Labor and Interior, to be implemented immediately after the budget is approved."

Regarding the annual statement, he stressed that “the annual statement includes renewing information via the Mazalati platform by preparing family members or the occurrence of a divorce, and it is withdrawn and submitted to the department,” pointing out, “If the annual statement is not renewed, the aid salary will be stopped, but when There are disabled people, so a social researcher is sent to their homes to collect information.”
