🚨 IRAQ'S TOP LEADERS MEET AS REGIONAL TENSIONS RISE 🇮🇶🕊️

🚨 IRAQ'S TOP LEADERS MEET AS REGIONAL TENSIONS RISE 🇮🇶🕊️

Iraq's State Administration Coalition (SAC) will meet with the country's top leaders to address the security fallout from the recent US-Saudi strikes, threats from Iran-backed factions, and the ongoing financial crisis.

💡 Why is this encouraging for those watching the IQD?

Even during heightened regional tensions, Iraq's leadership is responding through state institutions and political dialogue rather than allowing events to unfold without coordination. Political coordination and efforts to preserve stability are important ingredients for continuing economic and monetary reforms.

📈 A stable government and functioning institutions create a stronger environment for long-term financial reform—even though this news is not a direct RV signal.

SAC to review Iraqi factions' response to US-Saudi strikes

SAC to review Iraqi factions' response to US-Saudi strikes

Shafaq News- Baghdad

Iraq's State Administration Coalition (SAC) will convene on Wednesday with the country's four top leaders to discuss the security fallout from last week's joint US-Saudi airstrikes on the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and subsequent threats by Iran-backed armed factions against Saudi Arabia, an informed source told Shafaq News.

The coalition, which brings together political blocs and parties participating in Iraq's political process from across the country's communities, will also review the latest political, economic, and regional developments. Discussions are expected to focus on the country's financial crisis, which has delayed salary payments for public employees, retirees, and social welfare beneficiaries following the disruption of oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz.

On July 29, joint US-Saudi airstrikes targeted PMF positions in seven Iraqi provinces, killing at least 20 members and wounding 32 others. Washington and Riyadh said the operation responded to alleged attacks on US forces and Saudi energy facilities.

Iran-backed armed factions, including Saraya Awliya al-Dam, Harakat al-Nujaba, Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Ashab al-Kahf, and the Badr Organization, condemned the strikes in separate statements. Some called for the complete withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq, the severance of diplomatic and economic ties with Saudi Arabia, and the expulsion of the Saudi ambassador. Operating under the umbrella of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, the groups gave the Iraqi government until August 6 to demonstrate its ability to defend the country's sovereignty, warning that a response would be "inevitable."

🚨 AKI UPDATE: CASH SHORTAGE & GROWING DEMAND FOR LOWER DENOMINATIONS! 🇮🇶💵

🚨 AKI UPDATE: CASH SHORTAGE & GROWING DEMAND FOR LOWER DENOMINATIONS! 🇮🇶💵

📌 Highlights:

✅ Reports of a shortage of Iraqi currency in local markets.
🏦 Many 3-zero notes were reportedly returned to banks during monetary reform education efforts.
💸 The reduced availability of 3-zero notes is said to be creating challenges for everyday transactions.
📈 Demand is reportedly increasing for 2-zero notes.
🔜 According to Aki, lower denominations (LDs) could be introduced soon, with 1-zero notes expected to become increasingly important.

⚠️ These comments reflect Aki's reported observations and have not been independently confirmed by the Central Bank of Iraq.

 [Iraqi bank friend Aki update]

Aki says there is a serious shortage in our markets for our currency.  They are fearful to use the 3-zero notes but they are no longer an issue.

A good amount were collected and brought to the banks when the monetary reform education started.

The 3-zero notes are gone and that's what's causing a lot of problem with the citizens in the market...

Right now there is a huge demand for 2-zero notes...The LDs will be coming out very shortly and until that time the 1-zero notes will become also in great demand.

🚨 IS IRAQ'S MONETARY REFORM WAITING FOR SECURITY TO BE RESTORED? 🇮🇶💵

🚨 IS IRAQ'S MONETARY REFORM WAITING FOR SECURITY TO BE RESTORED? 🇮🇶💵

After following Iraq's recent developments, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: regional security and internal stability appear to be the final hurdles before the next phase of monetary reform can move forward.

📌 Key Points:

🇮🇷 The ongoing regional conflict involving Iran continues to create uncertainty and delay major economic decisions.

🏦 In my opinion, the Project to Delete the Zeros is waiting until the issue of the Iran-backed militias inside Iraq is finally resolved. As long as these armed groups continue to challenge the authority of the Iraqi state, achieving the level of stability needed for a major monetary reform becomes much more difficult.

🛡️ Significant progress in addressing these militias is expected by the end of September 2026, strengthening the Iraqi government's authority and sovereignty.

🇺🇸 The U.S.-led coalition has also begun reducing its military presence as part of broader security arrangements, which many observers view as part of Iraq's transition toward greater internal security responsibility.

💡 My Opinion:

For years, we've said that a successful monetary reform requires more than economic indicators—it requires security, political stability, and full government control.

If Iraq succeeds in restoring state authority and resolving the challenge posed by Iran-backed militias, it could remove one of the biggest obstacles standing in the way of the Project to Delete the Zeros and the broader monetary reform.

📈 A stronger, more sovereign Iraq is a stronger foundation for long-term economic and monetary transformation.

...they came right out and told us it is the Iran conflict thats hindering the start of the project to remove the zeros...  But my CBI contact is keeping us informed.

They do want to target January 2027 again.

Can they do itThere is lots of cleanup still to do with these Iranian backed militia and factions but this is supposed to be completed by end of September 2026. The US coalition just announced they are now moving out of Iraq as their part of the deal to disarm the militia..

🚨🇮🇶 CBI Takes Another Major Step Toward International Banking Integration! 🌍🏦

🚨🇮🇶 CBI Takes Another Major Step Toward International Banking Integration! 🌍🏦

One of the most important developments coming out of Iraq right now is the Central Bank of Iraq's continued effort to fully reconnect the country's banking sector with the global financial system.

This is far more than just another banking update—it is one of the foundational pieces of Iraq's long-term monetary and economic reform strategy.

Before 1990, Iraqi banks conducted business with financial institutions around the world. However, after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, international sanctions effectively isolated the country's banking system for decades. During that time, the global financial industry underwent a technological revolution, introducing advanced compliance standards, digital payment systems, anti-money laundering protocols, real-time settlement networks, and international banking regulations.

By the time Iraq began working to reconnect with the international financial community, the entire banking landscape had changed.

That is why the Central Bank of Iraq has spent years modernizing its financial infrastructure.

Today we are seeing the results of those efforts.

Recent announcements highlight ongoing work to strengthen banking technology, improve compliance with international standards, expand digital payment systems, enhance anti-money laundering controls, and deepen cooperation with major international financial institutions.

Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect is the reported involvement of the U.S. Treasury, which has worked alongside Iraqi authorities in recent years on banking oversight, compliance, and reforms designed to increase confidence in Iraq's financial sector.

For those who follow Iraq's monetary reform, this is significant because a modern banking system is essential for participating in global finance. International trade, cross-border payments, correspondent banking relationships, and foreign investment all depend on banks that meet globally accepted standards.

The Central Bank is no longer speaking only about future plans—it is increasingly discussing the concrete steps being implemented to integrate Iraq's banking system with the rest of the world.

Every modernization effort, every compliance upgrade, and every new international partnership represents another building block toward a stronger and more internationally connected Iraqi economy.

While no single banking announcement confirms any future change in the value of the Iraqi dinar, these reforms demonstrate that Iraq continues moving in the direction of greater financial integration, transparency, and institutional strength.

The bigger picture remains the same: Iraq is steadily laying the infrastructure required for a modern economy capable of operating alongside the world's leading financial systems.

🇮🇶📈 The foundation continues to be built—one reform at a time.

Important news coming out of the Central Bank of Iraq.  Iraq is making steps to rejoin the global banking system.  We know, as investors, there will be little to no currency adjustment until Iraq's banks are able to communicate with banks worldwide, internationally.

Before 1990 Iraqi banks were part of the global financial system.  Then  Saddam.. attacked Kuwait and Iraq was placed under sanctions...Now, when they went back to rejoin, they found out they couldn't because high-tech had changed the landscape of banks worldwide.  Iraq needs to do some serious upgrades...Iraq is now openly talking about the steps they are making to rejoin the international banks...The US Treasury is directly involved.  This may be the most significant part..

🚨🇮🇶 $30 BILLION STILL ON THE TABLE? Iraq's Reform Path Continues! 💰

Article:  "Exclusive: America stipulates the dismantling of factions in exchange for releasing $30 billion of 'Saddam's

money' " Quote:  “Washington had previously promised to release this financial guarantee, and action was supposed to be taken on it during Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s visit to Washington. However, the US administration did not instruct Congress to approve the disbursement of the suspended financial guarantee, which is estimated at $30 billion.

🚨🇮🇶 $30 BILLION STILL ON THE TABLE? Iraq's Reform Path Continues! 💰

A new report claims that the release of an estimated $30 billion remains tied to Iraq's continued progress in strengthening state authority, combating corruption, and ensuring that all weapons remain under government control.

Whether or not every detail of the report is ultimately confirmed, one thing is clear: Iraq continues to move forward with reforms that the international community has been emphasizing for years.

For those of us following Iraq's monetary reform, these developments are another reminder that lasting economic change is built on a strong foundation of security, transparency, and financial stability.

The road may take time, but every reform completed brings Iraq one step closer to achieving its long-term economic goals. Stay focused on the progress—not just the headlines.

🇮🇶📈 The bigger picture continues to unfold.
