In identical letters sent to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Security Council President Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett,

Araqchi condemned the recent unprovoked attacks on Iranian civilian areas and peaceful nuclear facilities, stressing that the actions violated Iran’s sovereignty and breached fundamental principles of the UN Charter,

the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and multiple resolutions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He warned that failure to respond would undermine the Council’s credibility and embolden further aggression.

TIDBIT FROM SANDY INGRAM:

 Sandy Ingram

My ex-husband retired from the Federal Reserve bank.  He and his peers have always talked down about an IQD revalue or currency adjustment...

Iraq is fixing these flaws...for global inclusion ...Countries and International banks didn't trust doing business with Iraq.

Now Iraq's central bank is working to fix these problems.  They're updating their  systems...If Iraq continues on this path it has the potential to fully integrate into the global banking system ...

Now we know shy bankers said the IQD would never revalue.

It looks like Iraq is plugging the holes and there will be sufficient economic gains for a higher currency value.

Iraqi MP: PMF salaries stuck as Qi Card defies payouts

 Shafaq News - Baghdad

Iraq’s Finance Ministry has released the Popular Mobilization Forces’ (PMF) salaries, but private payment operator Qi Card is refusing to process the disbursements, a lawmaker revealed on Sunday.

In a statement, MP Uday Awad al-Tamimi, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, confirmed that an emergency meeting between the Ministry of Finance and banks is expected to take place to resolve the deadlock. “Manual distribution may become necessary until an alternative to the electronic payment system is found,” he added.

The standoff follows reports that PMF salaries had been suspended abruptly just two days after their scheduled release. The Fatah Alliance, a major pro-PMF bloc led by Hadi al-Amiri, denied that the issue was politically motivated, citing a “technical problem” as the cause of the delay.

The dispute comes amid fresh parliamentary efforts to convert the PMF into a full-fledged ministry, a move its supporters argue is justified given its size—over 300,000 members—and access to budgetary resources.

TIDBIT FROM MILITIAMAN: Inflation is well below 3% [in Iraq]

 Militia Man

Inflation is well below 3% [in Iraq].  That's really good.

It's an indicator for a revaluation.  Doesn't mean it's going to revalue...I'm telling you it is a component of a revaluation because it's  significant...Inflation is low.  The stage is set.

One of the things that is a component of a reinstatement revaluation is low inflation.

It's a sign for the IMF, World Bank, everybody that they maintain stable inflation and reduce it consistently is a very good sign that they're ready for an adjustment.  It doesn't mean they will do it, it just means they have a key component.
