Iraq Advances Legal Framework for Development Road Project

 Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review the legal framework governing the Development Road Project and its associated initiatives.

The Prime Minister received a detailed briefing from the project team on legal and technical requirements, including construction standards and operational procedures. He emphasised the need to urgently finalise comprehensive management and operations models that align with modern technologies and international best practices.

A specialised committee has been formed to draft the legal frameworks, working in coordination with US-based consultancy Oliver Wyman, which is supporting the project as an advisor.

They are still using the official CBI rate of 1320. This is also bullshit about lower denominations being out in Kurdistan or elsewhere.. .

Trust me, when the CBI does bring out the newer lower denominations, articles will proceed it in the news...My CBI contact has told me months ago that the news articles are already designed and ready to go, given the proper timing. It is not yet!  It will not be and cannot be some secret information only told to a few. 

 ...I have a contact that works directly on this project to delete the zeros in the CBI and I would know if any new rate comes out.

The evacuation of some US Embassy personnel in Iraq or the region is an internal precautionary measure unrelated to any security indicators within Iraqi territory, Iraq’s Armed Forces spokesperson Sabah al-Numan told Iraqi state-run News Agency.  ;

· Tier 4B doesn't have to wait until all these remaining 58 platforms are finished (and liquid 💦) to go. 

· To be clear, there will still be some Tier 3 groups who will be waiting to receive spendable money even after T4B participants have completed their process.

· The timing for Tier 4B, while unknown, could honestly happen at any moment. Let's just continue to watch things play out. 

💯 As we already reported this morning, we have confirmed reports inside of Iraq where citizens are indeed experiencing ATMs dispensing the lower notes of IQD - but the rate has not been changed as of yet. Iraqis are getting used to the lower denominations for now; and the new exchange rate should be coming for them very soon.

The spokesperson for the US Embassy in Baghdad told Al Jazeera that the evacuation of American citizens is not voluntary and is being carried out under official orders, adding that the directive also applies to the consulate in Erbil.

ISIS has begun reactivating its fighters in both Syria and Iraq, reports Reuters on Thursday, citing over 20 sources including security and political officials from Syria, Iraq, the US, Europe, and regional diplomats.

The sources revealed that the group is identifying targets, distributing weapons, and ramping up recruitment and propaganda efforts. Security officials in both countries confirmed these renewed activities have already led to the foiling of at least a dozen major ISIS plots this year. : Reuters
