#BREAKING: The Kurdistan Region’s Council of Ministers affirms that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will continue its dialogue and negotiations with the Iraqi government to resolve all outstanding issues within the framework of the constitution— including the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region through Iraq’s state oil marketing company, SOMO - statement : KRG

The Council also emphasizes that enhancing investment in the oil and gas sector, in line with the Iraqi Constitution, will increase federal revenues and reaffirms that these revenues must be fairly distributed for the benefit of all Iraqis.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has played an active role in combating money laundering and terrorist financing in Iraq, according to Ali Al-Alaq, Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq. Speaking at a conference on the issue in Baghdad, Al-Alaq also noted efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into the country’s banking system.
