Iraqi Foreign Ministry: 14 draft resolutions on the agenda of the development summit in Baghdad.

The preparatory ministerial meeting for the Arab Development Summit, held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Iraq, approved draft resolutions for the items on the summit's agenda for its fifth session, which will be held in Baghdad.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Shafaq News Agency, the approved projects included: a draft resolution on the Secretary-General's report on joint Arab economic, social, and development work, and a draft resolution to follow up on the implementation of the decisions of the fourth session held in Beirut.

The statement added that it also included a draft resolution on Mauritania's Blue Economy Initiative as a means of addressing food and energy challenges in the Arab world, and a draft resolution on the Arab League Secretary-General's initiative entitled "Artificial Intelligence Initiative."

Other projects include the "Arab Economic Reform Era for the Next Decade," a draft resolution to establish the Council of Arab Trade Ministers, the Arab Food Security Strategy, and the Arab Initiative for Achieving Food Security in the Grain Sector.

Also included is the project to support the development needs plan and infrastructure projects in the Republic of Yemen, development projects provided by the Republic of Sudan, and the project to support and shelter families displaced as a result of the war within the Palestinian territories and to confront attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.

In addition to following up on developments in the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, in addition to development projects submitted by the Republic of Iraq, and other projects related to development issues in the region.

Construction begins on Baghdad View, Iraq’s largest vertical residential city

Baghdad – 

Construction has commenced on “Baghdad View,” set to be Iraq’s largest vertical residential city, featuring over 200 towers, each 20 stories high. The massive development is strategically located on Baghdad International Airport road, adjacent to the American University and Al-Bayan University, within the Al-Ukhuwa Residential City project.

“Baghdad View” will offer diverse housing options, including studio apartments (a first for Baghdad) up to three-bedroom units, all with views of the Presidential Palace lakes or the city. Units are available at subsidized prices of approximately $930 per square meter (at the Central Bank exchange rate), with easy payment plans and interest-free mortgages offered by the developer.

The project promises a fully integrated community with extensive amenities. These include vast green spaces and water features, schools, a hospital, medical and shopping centers, a commercial promenade with popular restaurants and cafes, a sports club with pools and courts, dedicated children’s play areas, and tracks for walking, jogging, and cycling, alongside essential services like a fire and police station.
