The network pointed out that the economic sanctions that the US administration is threatening to impose on Iraq, especially the banking sector, have now become a "great danger" to Iraqi stability, which called for using Al-Kazemi in the current period, which the network described as "critical" with the approach of the Iraqi elections. 

The network's report concluded by stressing that Al-Kadhimi's arrival in Baghdad also carries "political efforts", stressing that "Al-Kadhimi's influence still continues until now inside the country in addition to his influence with the Americans and Saudis, which indicates intentions to bring him back to the political scene again. "Administrative clash" at Najaf airport between US delegation and Iraqi security

A security source in Najaf Governorate reported on Monday that the security authorities prevented an American delegation that tried to enter the governorate through its international airport " by force."

The source told Shafaq News Agency that eight black, tinted vehicles stormed the airport, and a number of American special forces got out of them, carrying weapons and wearing bulletproof vests. They conducted searches inside the airport corridors using a special camera, without referring to the relevant security authorities inside or outside the airport.

The source added that two Black Hawk helicopters landed at the airport, carrying an American official at the Washington embassy in Baghdad, in addition to a number of armed soldiers. The purpose was to visit the governorate without revealing the identity of the official.

He explained that the force that arrived on board the two planes tried to enter the airport, but one of the airport security customs employees and a number of other elements blocked their way and asked them to hand over their weapons and show the visit permit to the Iraqi side. After refusing to do so, the American force was forced to return to the two planes and leave.

Al-Sudani and US Secretary of State discuss areas of coordination between the two countries by phone

 Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received a phone call today, Tuesday, from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

 

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office, a copy of which was received by {Euphrates News}, stated that"during the phone call, the two sides discussed the overall bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, and ways to enhance and develop them."'
The statement added that "the call witnessed a discussion of areas of coordination between Iraq and the new US administration, and frameworks for cooperation in the context of bilateral agreements."
He pointed out that "the progress made in joint work in various fields was reviewed, and it was agreed to intensify communication and deepen cooperation."
