 Parliamentary finance reveals to “the mountains” information received from the government: budget tables will arrive

The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed on Monday that the 2025 budget tables are about to reach the Iraqi Council of Representatives, according to information received from the government.

“According to the information we have received from the Iraqi government, it intends to send the budget tables for 2025 within the next few days, and we are waiting for it to arrive to view and study them before voting on them,” committee member Jamal Koger told Al-Jabal.

Koger said that “the delay in approving the budget schedules for 2025 will not affect the issue of disbursing the salaries of employees and retirees, as salaries are secured for months this year, and it is possible to work on spending them without waiting for the approval of the budget, there is no fear of that.”

 Kurdistan Region strengthens global presence at Dubai Summit

Shafaq News/ Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani arrived, on Monday, in the United Arab Emirates, leading a government delegation to the World Government Summit in Dubai.

The summit, from February 11 to 13, gathers global leaders, experts, and policymakers to discuss key issues such as governance, technology, sustainability, and economic development.

During the summit, Barzani is expected to meet with heads of state and senior officials to discuss strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and participating countries. “Our discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in critical areas such as the economy, investment, and trade, while also addressing the evolving political situation in Iraq and the broader region,” Barzani’s office said in an official statement.

MZ: Is it possible we will see something Monday morning?  It’s possible. 

MZ: But stay calm as there are a lot of moving pieces right now. There have been tons of comments from groups and contacts in Reno that have suddenly awakened. It is busier then we have seen it in years. Reno contacts are very optimistic.

MZ: More than one person told me that for a short time on the forex they saw the dinar at around one US dollar . I think this may be a little more testing….they have not opened it up for exchange yet….. 

Don’t panic…I don’t think this is the rate …but if it is I will take it and be happy. (Mark shows a picture of Forex rates) So this puts one IQD just under one US dollar .

MZ: I do find it interesting that a number of regular, traditional , normal bank employees have to work on this weekend…Some have nothing to do with redemption. But there are also some redemption center/wealth management folks working this weekend for the second weekend in a row. They will not tell me what they are doing during these weekends. They are not allowed to. So I take that as a positive sign.
