MZ: the latest I have heard is about  $3.90 street rate on the dinar. Dong we have heard everything from .47 cents to almost $4.00….. Most of my sources are still telling me to expect it in the $2 dollar range

 MZ: “The general authority of customs adopts the AYESCUDA system and deposits paperwork in a major reform step”  This is a worlds standard amongst all the nations. This is starting today.

MZ: A number of people have checked in and they are very excited about the education and conversations in Iraq. The talk has been overwhelming about small notes…..or lower denominations….this is from government and banking employees throughout Iraq. Why d they need smaller notes?

Baghdad / NINA /- The head of the Popular Mobilization Commission, Faleh Al-Fayyadh, stressed: "Iraq is strong with its popular mobilization forces, army and sons, and the supreme authority is present at every historical turning point, and the tribes are its first responder." 

Al-Fayyadh said in a speech at a tribal conference in Dhi Qar Governorate: "The structure of Iraqi society is based primarily on the tribal situation, and the tribal situation is a solid entity in all calamities and difficult times," indicating: "The supreme religious authority is present at every historical turning point and the tribes are its first responder, and the fatwa of jihad would not have taken its echo without the tribes' responders and their great response." 

He added: "The tribes are the backbone of the Iraqi people, and the PMF is from you and to you, and presented its best sons and leaders, including al-Muhandes and the martyr Soleimani," indicating: "Dhi Qar is a distinct identity in Iraq, and stability in Dhi Qar is reflected in all parts of Iraq." 

He continued: "Iraq is strong with its PMF, army and sons, and it will remain strong with the presence of the Supreme Religious Authority that sees that there are acceptable paths." End

 That would likely be an exchange rate for determination of the precise clarifications and guarantees.  It looks to be a timing thing now for Iraq to expose a new exchange rate...

They're talking about the issuance of money and aren't we waiting for a new exchange rate?  

Yes we are.  I think that's the whole premise here.

  They're getting rid of the dollar auction.  Now it's called the currency  window...No wonder these guys in the street are nervous.

Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadiq, confirmed today, Wednesday, that Iraq is witnessing an economic and urban shift that promises a bright future, while pointing out that Iraq is distinguished by its pivotal role in the Arab-Islamic dialogue to preserve Syria's sovereignty and security.
 
Al-Sadiq said during a speech he delivered at the memorial festival held by the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We commemorate the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory and the heroes of the fight against global terrorism, the two martyr leaders, Hajj Qasim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, at a time when the region is witnessing major, rapid and influential developments after Al-Aqsa Flood operations."
 
He added, "Among the most prominent regional challenges and threats that we are witnessing are the Zionists' war in Gaza and the genocide there, the entity's war against Hezbollah and the rapid collapse of Syria."
 
The Iranian ambassador said, "The martyrdom of Qasim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was treachery and not a fair confrontation on the battlefield, and they are worthy of it and men, at a time when we see that the Zionist entity is talking about Netanyahu's defeat, talking about victory."
 
Regarding the events in Syria, Al-Sadiq stressed that "the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to preserve Syria's sovereignty, the unity of its lands and its integrity, and to defeat the Zionist occupation from it," stressing that "a comprehensive government must be formed that includes all nationalities and intellectual trends, and the Syrian people must determine their future themselves through free elections."
