Trade Bank of Iraq opens an office inside the SOMO oil company building

Today, Sunday, the Trade Bank of Iraq (  TBI ) announced the opening of an office inside the SOMO oil company building.

The bank's media advisor, Aqil Al-Shuwaili, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In cooperation with SOMO, an authorized office was opened inside the company's building to issue documentary credits to facilitate all transactions between the Oil Marketing Company " SOMO " and the bank regarding the export and import operations of all petroleum products."

He added that "this contributes to supporting the national economy and developing the energy sector, which is one of the main drivers of the Iraqi economy," noting that "these measures come within the work plan of the bank's management, represented by its chairman, Bilal Al-Hamdani, to develop banking work."

He stressed that "this will contribute to improving and developing the bank's services provided to all customers in
line with the Prime Minister's directives to develop the banking sector and improve all services."

MP: Saturday’s session will witness completion of important draft laws

independent MP Amir Al-Maamouri showed today, Sunday, that the next parliament session will witness voting on essential draft legal guidelines.

Al-Maamouri said, in an interview with dinaropinions.com, that “the delay in setting a date for the parliament consultation is in implementation of the general populace census software this is currently being implemented.”

He brought, “next Saturday’s consultation will witness the of completion of the regulation of the essential laws covered on the parliament’s time table, so that it will be introduced in the subsequent 3 days.”

He stated, “There are whole and agreed upon laws, and all that remains is to hold the session to vote on them, such as the famous Mobilization Forces retirement law and private fame law.”

S&P raises JPMorgan's rating by one notch

Finance: Salaries may be funded after census holiday

An informed source confirmed, today, Sunday, that the Accounting and Budget Department in the Ministry of Finance is currently working to complete the process of financing the salaries of employees in government institutions.

 

The source told Al Furat News Agency that "if the work is completed, salaries will be released tomorrow, but it is most likely that this will be done after the census holiday, with work continuing on Fridays and Saturdays as usual during the salary funding release periods."
