Iraq to build 5 thermal power plants producing 10,000 megawatts, 12 AUGUST

On Saturday, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity made it clear that it intends to construct five thermal power plants with a combined capacity of 10,000 megawatts.

The representative for the Iraqi Power Service, Ahmed Musa, explained that the service’s five-year plan centers around the development of warm age power plants, which utilize shut cycle turbines that can work on various sorts of fuel, Shafaq News announced.

The Iraqi authority added that the new power plants are wanted to be implicit different Iraqi governorates.

Musa says that the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity is currently working on new projects that use wind, solar, and waste recycling to expand the country’s energy options.

Musa uncovered last month that Iraq right now creates somewhat more than 27,000 megawatts, while the nation needs 48,000 megawatts to cover homegrown power utilization.

Iraq imports a lot of gas from Iran, but the country has recently invested in a lot of projects to start using flared gas and renewable energy to make electricity.

Iraq cannot generate electricity without importing gas from Iran. Nonetheless, US sanctions forced on Iran make it hard for Baghdad to pay for the Iranian gas.

Every day, Iraq experiences power outages that can last up to ten hours. During the scorching summer, when the temperature exceeds 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit), the situation gets even worse.

The Iraqi Pastor of Power, Ziyad Ali Fadel, declared in mid-Walk that an arrangement had been endorsed with Siemens Energy to transform erupted gas into fuel in six months or less.

Fadel affirmed that the understanding is important for the endeavors of the Iraqi government to stop gas erupting and use it to create power.

There's no rate exchange out there that's even above $3.50, nowhere out there, not even the Kuwait dinar...$3.25...I think theirs is the most valuable so how is somebody going to give a $7.00 exchange rate?

Iraq is still treading forward.  I'm curious to hear the news about what's going on with Alaq and what they find out because what they're reporting is not all peaches and cream.  But apparently he is still there working so it can't be all that bad IMO...

 Pimpy

Alaq, all kinds of crap coming out about him...Seems to me they were hip to what was going on damn near a year ago and this would explain whey there's so many restrictions taking place with the Iraqi Bank as well as other banks in Iraq and why it is that the United States felt like they had to take up a whole entire floor inside the Central Bank of Iraq...

The Central Bank of Iraq was forced to allocate an entire floor to the US Treasury department to  monitor money transfer operations and prevent any illegal activities.  Talk about a very clear violation of Iraq's sovereignty.   This is how bad ..FOR READ MORE: https://dinarevaluation.blogspot.com/2024/08/rv-update-by-pimpy-11-august.html
