Shafaq News/ The leader of the Azm Alliance, Haider Al-Mulla, revealed today, Monday, the details of the meeting of Sunni political leaders with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his visit to the capital, Baghdad.

The meeting was attended by Muhammad al-Halbousi, Khamis al-Khanjar, Muthanna al-Samarrai and Rafi al-Issawi, in addition to other political leaders.

Al-Mulla told Shafaq News Agency, “The Turkish leadership has strategic relations with all Iraqi political leaders, including the Shiite, Sunni, Kurdish, and Turkmen political actors.”

He stated that “the side meetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan were held in coordination with the Iraqi government side and the Sudanese office was the one who carried out all the logistical procedures for all the meetings.”

The leader of the Azm Alliance added, “The meeting of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with the Sunni political leaders discussed delaying the decision to elect the president of the Iraqi parliament and discussing the formation of the remaining local governments. There was interest in the file of support for the Iraqi government from the Sunni political parties, especially in Iraq’s foreign files with Turkey.” and the rest of the countries of the region to create common interests.”

The Iraqi Council of Representatives failed several times to choose a president to succeed Muhammad al-Halbousi, who was excluded from the position by a decision of the Federal Court, which ruled to terminate his membership.

Since the termination of Al-Halbousi’s membership in the House of Representatives, the Council has held several sessions, but the issue was not raised in those sessions due to the heads of the political blocs not agreeing on the alternative candidate.

According to the political custom adopted since 2003, the position of Speaker of Parliament is reserved for Sunni Arabs.

 Question:  "What are the proper notes to hold for investment purposes?" 

 Any of the currency is okay to hold at the moment so there's no specific denomination.  If they do delete the zeros or they re-denominate they're going to have whole new currencies.  

That's why there's no rush to try to find lower denominations because they're going to replace all of them including the lower ones.  But there is a possibility that they don't re-denominate and we get lucky and they change the exchange rate and keep the zeros on the currency.

 Article:  "Parliament's finance advises raising exchange rates again.  Money about oil revenues?"

  They are talking about changing the exchange rate to 1500 for every dollar.  That's the wrong direction.  We don't want that to happen...I know the news is frustrating but that's what they were talking about...It's the same thing they talked about in December.  So don't be surprised.  Let's hope it goes in the other direction.

Why wouldn’t this be there? Expect to see more of these.

Crypto_Corvette:  I can confirm! I went there today! I asked the teller if he knew about the RV, he looked at me and smiled then he said you mean the 1-to-1 revaluation.

Okie had some positive news earlier today, thought we would hear some indication of the new rate when the Premier returned to his country from his visit to the US, 

the banker is assisting his hospitalized wife in CA so very little news from him so I guess we wait for FOREX to open, but again sports fans we appear to be very close, so say your prayers tonight.

While it has been awhile since I have posted, this weekend looks very promising for us as banker has all his exchange personnel on standby with the provision to be prepared to work 10 hour days for at least the next 10 days.  He will confirm ASAP after he gets final confirmation.
