The President of the Republic meets Blaskhart and confirms Iraq’s keenness to coordinate with the international community, 5 MARCH

President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Monday, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Iraq, Jeanine Blasschart.

Rashid stressed, according to the presidential statement, a copy of it received during the meeting: “Iraq was keen to coordinate and cooperate with the international community to support its efforts in consolidating security and stability and ensuring the security and safety of citizens.”

Rashid pointed out that “the need to work jointly with international organizations to confront challenges in the field of environment, climate, health and education in a way that ensures a decent life for Iraqis.”
