Al-Sudani: Our government has begun signing a bilateral strategic partnership with European Union countries

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani in a press conference: 
▫️ We took up to 40 decisions during four Cabinet sessions regarding various service projects that have been lagging for years
▫️ In light of these decisions, most of the reasons due to which the projects were stopped have been resolved
▫️ A priority for services is to complete the lagging projects
▫️ Approval of a system Electronic payment is one of the most important reform steps of this government
. ▫️ Our visit to the Netherlands comes within the framework of the transformation of Iraq’s relations from the international coalition relationship to bilateral relations.
▫️ The European Union is one of the important destinations for Iraq in establishing relations.
▫️ Our government has begun signing a bilateral strategic partnership with the European Union countries
. ▫️ We agreed. With Italy to solve a problem that was hindering any economic cooperation between the two countries, which is a problem from the year 1985 and which relates to one of the previous decades

Iraq PM shifts focus to domestic oil derivatives

Shafaq News/ Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani announced on Tuesday that he is actively monitoring the progress of the Grand Al-Faw Port through surveillance cameras.

Speaking at a press conference, Al-Sudani highlighted the "significance" of Al-Faw Port for the government. 

"We are following the work through surveillance cameras installed in the port through which we can see every place in it…the first projects from Al-Faw Port are expected to be completed after mid-2025 according to the planned timeline."

Concerning the Global Coalition presence in Iraq, Al-Sudani pointed out that the Iraqi-American High Military Committee (HMC) meetings are held in the presence of the Coalition and not only the United States.

"The Iraqi security forces are ready and able to protect the country's security, so there is no need for the presence of advisors from 25 countries in Iraq."

On the economic file, Al-Sudani revealed a significant development in the Iraqi oil sector, stating, "For the first time in the history of the Iraqi oil sector, associated gas investment projects have been started." 

The Prime minister expressed "confidence that Iraq would have sufficient gas production within three to five years to reduce or eliminate the need for imports."

"We are moving towards securing the production of petroleum derivatives instead of importing them."

 Community Comment: "Once the 3 zeros are deleted, establishing IQD's REER, then the rate will go up in increments."  That's not what you want.  You do not want them to delete the zeros before the rate goes up.  If they delete the three zeros off your currency then your 25,000 dinar becomes a 25 dinar and then they raise the rate?  That's not going to help you.  We'll see what happens.

 If you're going to exchange your Iraqi dinar, let's just say for the sake of this particular example...3 to 1, congratulations you now got millions of dollars.  So you go and you swap your currency and they're saying, 'Hey, you got $3 million in your account.'  Yah!   You can't say to them I want $3 million dollars because the bank doesn't carry money like that no more. They might say...we are going to allow you to carry out $5,000 for today cash but we're going to have to set an appointment with you to come pick up the rest of the cash...If they have to order currency for you, they're going to charge you a fee because they have to pay a fee...

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Monday, that the first batch of white oil will be sent to the cities of the Kurdistan region tomorrow.

The head of the New Generation Movement bloc, Sarwa Abdel Wahed, said in a statement received by Mawazine News: “After the meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, the first batch of white oil will arrive tomorrow in the cities of the Kurdistan region and will be distributed free of charge to citizens.”

She pointed out that “her meetings with officials are about finding solutions to people’s problems and serving citizens, not meetings for positions, ministry, and personal gain.”

Well the banker is very hopeful that no more snags develop this upcoming week and his staff can begin scheduling appointments and we can be completely finished with exchanging by months end.  He will so advise ASAP as soon as he knows.

While Banker insists there is no guarantee that one or more countries can delay the revaluation at this point in time all seems positive to receive conformation to proceed with notifications from Reno in the morning or at least this week.

I know there is a call tonight which I plan on listening to but in advance the banker texted me that he would nave info in the morning that he would call me with around 10:00 am tomorrow.  He did not indicate it was the start times for u just some additional info.

While I have no control over this room or what is allowed or deleted the banker has advised he will have information he will share during my church service in the morning.
