 An Economist Reveals The Key To European Investment In Iraq

Economy | 02/18/2024   Mawazine News – Baghdad  Economist Safwan Qusay said that the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani in the Netherlands is a key to convincing the European investor to partner with Iraq.

Safwan said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News: “The policy of the Sudanese government is clearly moving towards making the Iraqi economy a global economy,” stressing that “we have untapped resources in all sectors and we have an opportunity to link the Asian system with the European Union after the completion of the Al-Faw port.” In Basra.

He added, "We need investments from the European side in the way of development and exploitation of the Dutch port of Roten Daan, which is the largest port in Western Europe and is a gateway for transporting production from Germany, Britain, Paris, and Belgium. About 500 million tons enter through this port annually."

He stated, "Linking the port of Al-Faw to the port of Rotten Down is based on the fact that Turkey is a strategic partner that will transport these goods, merchandise, and people, and that the Netherlands, for Iraq, will be the communication station, especially since the European Union has begun to search for importing alternative commodities to gas and oil."

He pointed out that "the presence of the Sudanese in the Netherlands is a key to convincing the European investor to partner through the giant British insurance companies," noting "the possibility of transferring part of the German and Italian production lines to Iraq, given that we have the production capacity."   https://www.mawazin.net/Details.aspx?jimare=242295

 know there is a call tonight which I plan on listening to but in advance the banker texted me that he would nave info in the morning that he would call me with around 10:00 am tomorrow.  He did not indicate it was the start times for u just some additional info.

While I have no control over this room or what is allowed or deleted the banker has advised he will have information he will share during my church service in the morning. 

Well the banker is very hopeful that no more snags develop this upcoming week and his staff can begin scheduling appointments and we can be completely finished with exchanging by months end.  He will so advise ASAP as soon as he knows.

 Tier4b will receive notification around the first of next week and be able to set appointments starting Thurs. 18 Jan.

Well the call confirmed what I had heard and was going to share. There are more rumors and tentative release dates than anyone can keep up with starting today thru the end of March but the folks I am hearing from are suggesting our notifications will occur between the 10th and 12th of this month with exchanges commencing somewhere between the 18th and 20th with a maximum initial cash distribution via debit card of 10k with balance due deposited in your new QFS Account within 10 to 15 business days after your exchange. Is there confirmation of this via official agencies, NO, but the exchange centers are preparing for the dates suggested to schedule appointments.   Best I have at the moment…….

• “The WF Banker is back in Texas and does not anticipate on returning to the West Coast until we have concluded our exchange process and his job in these five states has concluded. He seemed very positive it wouldn’t be that long a period before he could rejoin his family.”

Folks, as I have stated before the world economy cannot continue without the RV and the powers that be know this. On Fri. 23 Dec. I spoke with a banker contact. He was going to Los Angeles or San Francisco to spend the holiday with his family. He indicated that point it might be much later  into January before we did anything.

 So today (Thurs. 28 Dec.) since I hadn’t heard from him, I called and spoke to his Assistant. She said he’s planning to fly back into Texas  tomorrow Fri. 29 Dec. He’s got these five stages he’s involved with. He’s training a number of Wells Fargo bankers on the procedures that they have to follow in order to do exchanges. 

He said that everyone that goes through an exchange process will be getting some type of a new Credit Card/ Debit Card that hooks into the QFS system. At your exchange you will get at least one or two percent of whatever you’re going to exchange immediately put on that card. They will open a new account for you, or possibly multiple accounts.

 If you have more than one currency and wish to open an account for each currency, they will do all that at your exchange meeting. Then it will be 10 to 20 days after that funding will actually appear in your new accounts. I think he said it was a $10,000 dollar debit card to leave the exchange process with so you have funding at least up to 10 grand to do certain things you may need to do.

Reconstruction and building  Economy News – Baghdad  It is hoped that the European Union will discuss, at its next meeting, the issue of water in the Iraqi marshes, within the framework of full support for Iraq’s demands to pressure neighboring countries to maintain water quotas.

The spokesman for Dhi Qar Governorate, Abu Al-Hassan Al-Badri, said, “The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Baghdad, Letitia van Asche, confirmed during her meeting with the delegation accompanying her with the Deputy Governor of Dhi Qar, Ghassan Al-Khafaji, that her country will discuss pressure on the countries upstream of the Iraqi rivers, during the next meeting of the European Union countries.” , stressing "the necessity of sustaining life and environmental diversity in the marshes of Iraq."

Al-Badri stated, “The Dutch ambassador explained that her country issued warnings to the responsible authorities in the European Union to remove any dangers threatening the marshes in the event that the country does not obtain sufficient water from neighboring countries, where the sources of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers are.”

Al-Badri pointed out that “the ambassador confirmed that her country contributes to helping the various segments of society in the governorate, through its financial support to international community organizations such as UNICEF, FAO, and others that work annually in the governorate, according to programs prepared in partnership with the local or central government.”

He added, "The meeting held yesterday also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of tourism and investment, and benefit from the Netherlands' pioneering experiences in the fields of agriculture and the production of alternative energy to generate electricity."

 Decrease In Dollar Exchange Rates On The Baghdad Stock Exchange

Economy Sunday, February 18, 2024 10:29 AMBaghdad/National News CenterToday, Sunday, the exchange rates of the US dollar witnessed a slight decline in the markets of the capital, Baghdad.

Dollar prices fell with the opening of the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges to record 152,300 dinars per 100 dollars, while yesterday, Saturday, prices were 152,450 dinars per 100 dollars.

Regarding the selling prices in the exchange shops in the local markets in Baghdad, they decreased, as the selling price reached 153,250 dinars, while the purchasing price reached 151,250 dinars for every 100 dollars.   https://nnciraq.com/250906/
