I can't believe they keep saying this to you constantly every day...You are within arms reach...One month...I believe they'll give you longer than that. FIREFLY: A guy comes on TV and he talks to us about how the end of the Untied Nations mission official has removed all sanctions from Iraq...
FIREFLY: So far we are not seeing the lower notes but they talk to us about them every day.They just talk to us about them and why we'll need them.
FRANK: They are talking to you about the lower notes and coins because they are about to show them to you next week or the week after. I believe your bank friend will show you something in the sense of pictures...Take as many pictures as you can.
FIREFLY: A representative from the CBI is talking to us in great detail about the new coins they will be giving us with the new currency notes...He said to us once again, the process to delete the zeros is in the process.
It made us smile. He said this process is occurring because the lower notes will not be needed if the rate wasn't increasing.He said if the CBI didn't come out with these lower notes the monetary reforms would be a disaster. He said that's why we need a change in our rate...
Iraqi PM affirms sovereignty in meeting with US Vice President
Shafaq News / Iraq's prime minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, met US Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday and reaffirmed the country's unwavering position on sovereignty. The subject of Al-Sudani's discussion with Harris on the fringes of his attendance at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2024 was bilateral relations between the United States and Iraq.
A statement from the Prime Minister's office stated that one of the topics of discussion was "confirming the need for ongoing communication via the Joint High Committee to wrap up the Global Coalition's activities against ISIS in Iraq." This is because the Iraqi military is becoming more capable and the threat posed by terrorist remnants is waning.
During the discussion, there was also talk about expanding the scope of the Strategic Framework Agreement between the US and Iraq to include all sectors of economic and developmental cooperation.
Reiterating Iraq's firm position on sovereignty over its land, Al-Sudani emphasized that "this concept is non-negotiable in any situation."
President Biden's greetings were passed forward by Vice President Kamala Harris, who also extended an invitation for a visit to Washington.
She underlined the US administration's dedication to the Iraqi government's achievement in addressing a range of issues in different sectors.
Harris emphasized how the present administration has been able to create fruitful alliances to stabilize Iraq and promote stability in the surrounding area.
She conveyed her nation's interest in continuing the conversation about the Global Coalition's mission's end through the Joint High Committee.
Minister of Trade, Atheer Al-Ghurairi, revealed today, Thursday, a wide welcome and international desire to increase investments inside Iraq, while confirming the holding of meetings with 3 countries in this regard.
Al-Ghurairi said during his participation in the 113th session of the Economic and Social Council, which was held at the Arab League, in a speech followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA):
“Iraq today seeks, within the government program of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, to improve the investment environment and seeks to receive private sector companies with the aim of improving reality.” "The economic situation in Iraq and the announcement of the availability of great investment opportunities."
He added, "There are many important projects in Iraq, including the development road and the railway line between Holy Karbala and Najaf Al-Ashraf," noting "the necessity of encouraging investments from the private sector inside Iraq."
He added, "Iraq seeks to increase investment projects with Arab countries," noting, "There are major initiatives by Arab countries, and there was a great welcome from them to increase investments in Iraq and implement many economic agreements and conferences, and there are many protocols implemented with countries." The UAE, Qatar, and Egypt formed committees that included delegations from businessmen and the private sector inside Iraq, and we noticed a tangible change in the management of the economic file and the general economic policy of the Iraqi state.”
He pointed out, "The meeting came out with many decisions that were approved, including enhancing intra-trade, liberalizing trade in goods, and welcoming Iraq's accession to the World Trade Organization."
He stressed, "This is what Iraq aspires to, as its steps have begun to convey their messages to all countries, and the Iraqi economy will witness a significant recovery during the coming period in order to achieve common interests and achieve mutual benefit between Iraq and the Arab countries."
He pointed out that "there are rapid initiatives in infrastructure investment with the Egyptian, Qatari and Emirati sides through many agreements concluded during the previous period."

MZ: Have a bank story a member wanted me to share: “I had tried to set up an account at the newly built Chase bank and that went nowhere. So I called JP Morgan and talked to A****** . and I gave him my information and he gave me the name of a PCA that would be calling me within 24-48 hours. She did call me back and I answered her voicemail and I can call her tomorrow or Tuesday “

MZ: We have had so many stories lately with banks….I am getting them constantly. And yes, they are expecting rate changes soon. It’s fun to be getting all these bank stories that we never got in the past.
Member: Contacted Chase Bank talked for around 4mins they asked for my phone number and they said they would call me as soon as the denar goes public and they will call in a wealth manger

MZ: A Little world news: “Japan is no longer the world’s third largest economy as it slips into recession”. The country that replaced Japan as the third largest is Germany.
Zester : And these are both countries America and American tax payers rebuilt after the war.
Member: What are the differences on the Zim?
MZ: There are 3 kinds of Zim out there. One is the current currency they use . The Zim dollar. The other two are versions of government bonds. These are not historic bonds which are older and different. One bond is an Agro Check or an agricultural bond and the one most of hold is the Zimbabwe bearer bond .
MZ: So 3 different things here and they will all be handled 3 different ways. It was explained to me that the Zimbabwe bearer bonds (The 100T or 50 T Notes) and Agro bonds are being used to help the humanitarians and humanitarian projects…. That’s a short version
