PLANNING: THE PRIORITY IN NEXT YEAR’S BUDGET WILL BE TO BASICALLY COMPLETE THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAM
(Now there is no doubt in our minds that the RV and Reinstatement is part of the platform of Al-Sundani taking power by confidence vote as the PM. )
Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning identified the most prominent projects that will be focused on within next year’s 2024 budget.
Undersecretary Maher Johan Hammad said in a press statement that “the Ministry of Planning has begun drawing the features of next year’s basic budget in coordination with the governorates and ministries.” Pointing out that “the Ministry has been working for weeks with the ministries to establish their needs.”
He added, “The priority will be to basically complete the government program, and focus on completing the lagging projects, after hundreds of projects returned to life during this year, with the need to ensure their continued return.”
He pointed out, “A large portion of the budget will be allocated to providing basic services such as water, sewage, and sanitation, after completing a package of them and introducing new ones.”
He explained, “Hospitals have a share in the budget after completing the inclusion of more than 20 new hospitals, with a capacity of 100 beds each, in all governorates within the 2024 budget, including hospitals in (Diwaniyah, Samawah, Basra, and Amara) for special cases, after obtaining the approval of the Prime Minister during his visit to a number of hospitals.” From the governorates.
He stressed that “the electricity sector will take the largest space,” noting that “it will be more organized and precise after starting to complete the complex cycles that do not exhaust the state’s budget allocations,” indicating that “the picture is not complete until all discussions are completed and presented to senior management.”
