This is an interesting theory, but we need to separate what is documented from what is speculation.
Iraq absolutely has been pursuing banking modernization and expanded electronic payments. However, the claims in this report about a secret U.S. Treasury operation, a deliberate replacement of the “old” dinar with a digital currency, and a specific connection between that operation and Delete the Zeros are not independently confirmed here.
⚠️ Most importantly, digital payments are NOT the same thing as a central-bank digital currency (CBDC). Moving toward electronic payments, digital wallets and electronic banking does not automatically mean Iraq is launching a digital dinar.
💱 And there is currently no official confirmation that Iraq has approved a new digital dinar, a Delete the Zeros implementation date, or an IQD RV.
🔥 BUT HERE IS WHAT I FIND INTERESTING:
The broader direction still matters.
🇮🇶 Iraq is trying to move from a heavily cash-based economy toward a system with more:

💡 The real question is not whether this particular report has proven its theory—it hasn't.
The question is whether Iraq's ongoing digital-payment and banking reforms are creating the financial infrastructure that could support a much larger monetary transition in the future.
