Government advisor: Iraq's oil exports are not subject to US tariffs
For all those who think 39% tariff on Iraq is a big deal it doesn't apply to crude exports which form 95% of the total exports .
U.S. total goods trade with Iraq were an estimated $9.1 billion in 2024. U.S. goods exports to Iraq in 2024 were $1.7 billion, down 26.4 percent ($595.2 million) from 2023.
U.S. goods imports from Iraq totaled $7.4 billion in 2024, down 12.2 percent ($1.0 billion) from 2023.
