Banks in Iraq are not doing any withdrawal or deposit even on January 2
1- Because they don’t want them to crowd the bank branches after they exchange the old notes
2-They will make them come in another day to deposit
3- And the amount they have inside their bank accounts cannot be withdrawn, but it will change to the new rate digitally
Look at the last picture where I highlighted it say the government has to make an announcement and the banks should promote the small denomination for people coming to the bank, exchanging the old notes with the new one
So January 1 in Iraq the government will make the announcement or January 2
But January 2 sounds impossible because people would be already in the bank like any normal day early in the morning so the government doesn’t have time to make an announcement
So the government will make the announcement January 1 which worked perfectly
