Ahmed Al-Dulaimi, a member of the Sovereignty Alliance, accused the United States of planning to strike the Iraqi economy and cause chaos by influencing the Central Bank’s operation and manipulating the dollar today, Saturday.
“officials in the US administration threatened to close the Central Bank if it did not comply with US instructions, which is a threat to strike the country’s economy and cause it to collapse,” Al-Dulaimi stated.
“In addition to its negative impact on the citizen,” he explained, “closing the Central Bank will cause great confusion in the country’s economy, chaos in import operations, and meeting the country’s external needs.”
He expressed his belief that Iraq’s demand for the withdrawal of its forces coincides with this American threat.
