Iraq, Kazakhstan, Russia submit compensation plans to OPEC, 27 July

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Secretariat has received compensation plans for excess oil production in the first half of 2024 from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Iraq.

OPEC said in a statement on Wednesday that the three countries overproduced by 2.28 million barrels per day between January and June 2024.

The 37th OPEC and non-OPEC Ecclesiastical Gathering (ONOMM) hung on June 2, 2024, emphasized the basic significance of sticking to full congruity and the pay instrument, as indicated by the proclamation.

Based on estimates from independent sources authorized by the Declaration of Cooperation, these plans were approximately 1,184 tb/d for the Russian Federation, 620 tb/d for Kazakhstan, and 1,184 tb/d for Iraq.

The three nations will lessen their stock consistently by various sums through September 2025.

With 70,000 barrels each day and 18,000 barrels each day, separately, Iraq and Kazakhstan will begin in July while Russian decreases will begin in October.
