Al-Sudani discusses with members of the US Congress the end of the international coalition’s mission and the transition to bilateral relations

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani discussed, with members of the US Congress, today, Saturday, the end of the international coalition’s mission in Iraq.

Al-Sudani’s media office stated in a statement received by {Al-Furat News} that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received four members of the US Congress, namely: Mike Turner, McKeirl, Joe Wilson, and Gerry Connolly, on the sidelines of his Excellency’s participation in the 2024 Munich Security Conference.” .

The statement added, "During the meeting, bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States were discussed, and ways to enhance constructive cooperation, as well as a number of files and issues of common interest were reviewed. The meeting also touched on the ongoing dialogue regarding ending the mission of the international coalition in Iraq, after the arrival of the security forces." Iraq has reached an advanced stage of readiness and high performance, and the transition to broad bilateral relations between Iraq, the United States of America, and the rest of the coalition countries.”

The Prime Minister stressed, "the necessity of developing relations between the two countries at various levels and sectors, without limiting them to the security aspect only," pointing to "the state of recovery that Iraq is going through, the reforms it is witnessing in various economic and financial sectors, and the progress of concluding integrated economic partnerships with countries in the region." "And the world, which will contribute to promoting development and achieving stability for the country."

For their part, members of the US Congress indicated their "interest in the success of the Iraqi government in several aspects," stressing "the importance of Iraq and its role in enhancing security and stability in the region."  LINK

MZ: MilitiaMan did a good one. Talking about the “natural resources” and the ascension to the World Trade organization. Iraq has got a lead position in a number of committees ect… in the WTO. And there are meetings scheduled throughout the year. They have to be full members to do these so to me it is very clear we are about to see Iraqs ascension into the WTO in the very near future. 

MZ: Nearly every economist out there is calling for a new rate before that occurs. MM did a great breakdown….be sure to go watch it and like and share his videos. 

Member: I have a feeling we are more than close to seeing the good people of Iraq step on to the world stage.

MZ: A number of people out there are still worried about the number if dinar in circulation. Keep in mind that has been greatly reduced through auctions and they have been removing billions . Whould they like to remove more? Yes and that is why they are using electronic platforms to cut down on refinancing  rats out there. 

Member:  isn't zimbabwe supposed to make their gold backed entry today?

Member:  Mark, you are very upbeat for a Monday...do you know something you can't talk about?

MZ: “BRICS “Leading bank predicts US dollar will fall” Scotia bank specifically is looking for a rough year for the US dollar. 

MZ: “Mushahid hopes Pakistan can join BRICS with Russian support”  Pakistan is moving closer to Russia and China. Most of the commodity rich world is moving in that direction. 

Member:  Hey Mark, have you heard anything from your bank contacts or bond contacts?

Member On Mondays its usually quqiet on the RV side until latere in the day. Maybe there will be news for tonights podcast?

Shafaq News/ On Saturday, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, met with the Head of the Independent Strategic Review of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), Volker Perthes, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany. 

According to the Kurdish Presidency, the two sides discussed the current situation in Iraq, the security and political developments, and the region's general situation." 

Barzani renewed his appreciation for the "presence and positive role of the United Nations in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region." 

In turn, Perthes highlighted his team's mission: to assess and review the role and mission of the United Nations team, its agencies, and organizations in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region." 

Since his arrival to participate in the Munich Security Conference, President Barzani has met with many leaders and officials, including Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, King Abdullah II of Jordan, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Austria's Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, the German Foreign Minister, Tobias Lindner, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayyani, Member of the German Bundestag, Siemtje Möller.

My brother asked [JP Morgan Wealth Manager] whether he could bypass the US dollar and exchange straight from the IQD to gold and silver and the private banker said he didn't know but he would find out and call him back.  

 MILITIA MAN:   My understanding is that is possible...I have been told some time ago by more than one source that if the currency is traded on the FX...an international acceptable foreign exchange currency...they'll take that currency in exchange for precious metals. 

My wife and I...were looking for a Chase branch that had JP Morgan Wealth Management printed on the door as well as Chase...I'm in a large metropolitan area...We found one near us...My brother took  it upon himself to call the branch yesterday.  He specifically asked for a private banker...My brother asked him if they exchange foreign currencies and if he was aware of the Iraqi revalue of their currency.  

The private banker said yes he was and that they would be exchanging at that location...and names and numbers he's taking will get priority over anybody else that calls or walks in  after the revalue..

As soon as it hits Forex he's going to start making  phone calls...He told my brother they were expecting a number of people to be coming in and were preparing for that, a bunch of new people with wealth is...exactly what he told my brother...They're planning on having police officers available at the location for  those customs that are planning on leaving the establishment with large sums of cash... 

 MILITIA MAN: ...Is it a coincidence that  this expert came out tonight and talked about deletion of the zeros?  We're going to find out.  It's pretty interesting stuff.

On Saturday, the German corporation Siemens and the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, spoke about a number of matters, including the potential for growth in the electrical energy distribution and transmission industry as well as related gas investments.

“Al-Sudani received the CEO of Siemens International Energy Company, Christian Bruch, on the sidelines of his participation in the Munich Security Conference 2024,” according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office that was obtained by

“The projects Siemens had been working on in Iraq were reviewed, along with ways to expedite work. The joint memorandum of understanding between the company and the Ministry of Oil regarding investing in associated gas and developing Iraq’s capabilities in this crucial field, was also studied during the meeting,” the statement continued.

“The prospects available to develop the distribution and energy transmission sector within the Iraqi electrical network were discussed during the meeting,” he went on.

In the statement, the prime minister made note of the fact that “development of all its sectors is the only way to bring about the desired development in the electrical network, and efforts and plans must not be limited to developing production alone.”
