Al-Shammari discusses with the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers enhancing security and service cooperation
Baghdad /NINA/ -Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari discussed with the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, Mohammed bin Ali Koman, enhancing security and service cooperation.
The ministry stated in a statement that "Al-Shammari received in his office today, the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, Mohammed bin Ali Koman and discussed with him a number of topics of common interest, in a way that enhances joint security work and unifies efforts in combating crime in all its forms. The meeting witnessed a set of discussions related to exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation."
Al-Shammari called for "strengthening the foundations of joint Arab security cooperation and adopting common visions," stressing the importance of concerted Arab security efforts to confront challenges.
For his part, Koman praised the Iraqi security institution, its history, and the great development it has achieved in its capabilities. /End
Minister of Electricity: We have developed a plan to reactivate the Iranian gas import contract
Baghdad /NINA/ -Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil announced today, Wednesday, the development of a plan to properly reactivate the Iranian gas import contract.
The minister said in a press statement during his participation in the Iraqi delegation's visit to Tehran: "Regarding the supply of gas needed to operate power stations, we discussed with the Iranian side the reasons for the interruption of gas supplied according to the contracts and agreed quantities, which was reflected in the quantities supplied to Iraq with energy."
He continued that "the Iraqi side asked the Iranian side to facilitate the procedures for transporting gas from Turkmenistan to Iraq," stressing that "the ministry relies heavily on the contract to secure additional quantities of gas."
He pointed out: "The Iranian side confirmed its commitment to the terms of the gas import contract to the Iraqi side." / End
