Kurdistan election poll workers receive their dues

The Electoral Commission said, "Next week will witness the arrival of financial dues for polling staff, and they will be distributed in the coming days."

Meanwhile, its spokeswoman, Jumana Al-Ghalay, confirmed in a statement (to the official website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan), that “the financial dues of the polling staff for the Kurdistan Parliament elections next week will be transferred to the region via the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI).”

She added, "The offices of the Election Commission in the Kurdistan Region will receive the funds to be distributed later to the polling staff for the Kurdistan Parliament elections that took place on 10/20/2024."

The Commission, through the head of the electoral administration, Judge Hussein Abdul-Sada Bahir, issued a letter numbered (AD/6/7934) dated (12/11/2024) to the Monetary Affairs Department in the Federal Ministry of Finance, in which it called for the acceleration of the distribution of the polling staff bonus amount.

As for the financial dues of the polling staff for the Iraqi provincial council elections, they have been distributed by the Ministry of Finance to the provincial treasuries, and coordination is underway between the commission’s offices in the provinces and the treasuries to release the dues in the coming days.”

Pavel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met in Baghdad with Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the region, stressing the need to solve problems and unify national efforts in order to keep regional tensions away from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The government's commitment to providing services fairly and without discrimination to all citizens was also emphasized.

In another aspect of the meeting, the problems between Erbil and Baghdad were discussed, as well as the delay in the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, which has negatively affected the lives and livelihoods of citizens.

President Pavel said in this regard: “The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan supports the decisions of the Federal Court to localize the salaries of the region’s employees,” calling on the Prime Minister to be, as always, cooperative and supportive of protecting the financial rights and entitlements of the people of Kurdistan, and to prevent the politicization of this national issue.

The meeting also stressed the need to

accelerate the steps to form the new government in the Kurdistan Region, according to the principle of true partnership and establishing a just and service-oriented government.

💢Ginger: I lovingly and respectfully disagree. I feel they are following the letter of the law by having recorded it (Gazette / albeit hidden) --- but things can still go. I honestly do not believe any of this is holding the Happy Camper event back from happening. I do believe that the ones in charge (Treasury Department & DOD) are waiting for the right and opportune time.

I've always felt in my spirit it will be the Trigger Event and I will not deviate from that conviction of what's needed for this to pop off.

This was also confirmed for me - my sense of knowing - by the Celestial Alliance as well. This is why I've always been very steady with you, when others were calling for dates/times - how many times did I calmly, steadily say to you: "I'm not seeing it.

Not quite ready yet. IMHO we're still waiting for the non negotiables and the Trigger Event"? I can't explain it. I just knew.... 🤔

And I'm feeling the Trigger Event is closer than some think....

I honestly feel this way -- while trying to lend comfort and encouragement to our family here without carelessly calling dates and making foolish promises to expect this and that on such and such date/time frame - which is something I simply will not do.

But the fact remains, it's never looked better!! We've never been so well positioned as we are today.

Let's hold space for one another as we await this Trigger Event... We'll be the soft place to land. Because it's coming.
