Transportation announces the approval of Salah al-Din Governorate on the rail and land routes of the development road
The local government of Salah al-Din Governorate has been consulted in the process of certifying the routes of the land highway and railway construction road, as announced by Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi on Tuesday.
A joint report on the development road project in Saladin Governorate has been completed by the General Company for Iraqi Railways and the competent authorities, according to a statement sent by the Minister of Transport to the Ministry’s media office.
Al-Saadawi explained that “the distance of the two lanes is 236 square kilometers,” adding, “the initial designs for the two lanes of the road passing through Salah al-Din Governorate included the establishment of 6 stations for transporting passengers and goods in the cities of Samarra, Baiji, and Tikrit.”
The transport minister emphasized that the ministry is working with the Salah al-Din local government to find quick and efficient solutions to these conflicts before finishing the two routes’ final designs. “The concerned authorities in the governorate indicated in the joint report the conflicts and property acquisitions belonging to citizens, government departments and ministries,” the minister said. roads and railroads that cross the governorate.
“In the spirit of commitment to the plans established for the year of achievements 2024, in the governorates, and in completion of the development road project, this year will witness the completion of visits and tours in the rest of the governorates to complete the signing of all minutes,” stated Younis Khaled Jawad Al-Kaabi, Director General of the General Railway Company.
