The Parliamentary Finance Committee held, on Thursday, a meeting dedicated to preparing a report on the draft law of the second amendment to the federal budget law for the years 2023-2024-2025 (Law No. 13 of 2024).
During the fifth meeting on the amendment of the budget law, the head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, invited the Ministry of Finance to attend to provide detailed data on the costs of producing and exporting oil.
The committee also discussed the mechanism of amending the budget items related to the export of oil by the region, and exchanged observations in preparation for preparing a final report and maturing it before submitting it to the Presidency of the Council for reading during the next session.
The Committee agreed, based on the provisions of Article (31/III) and Article (129) of the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives No. (1) of 2022, to address the Presidency of the Council not to include any drafts or proposals for laws belonging to the Finance Committee on the agendas of the Council except after the Committee’s recommendation to include them in the agenda of the Council.
On the other hand, the committee dealt with the file of financing financial allocations for the governorates with the aim of implementing development projects.
