In his address at the inauguration, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani expressed pride in the progress of the industrial sector, stating, "We hope to benefit from our natural resources and treasures in producing the raw materials essential for industry."

He emphasized that developing the industrial sector strengthens the economic infrastructure of the Kurdistan Region, reiterating, "We support the private sector in maintaining local products."

Masrour Barzani also assured support from his government for the company's efforts to export its products abroad, asserting that local products in the Region are of high quality. He stated, "We want the industrial sector to surpass the borders of Kurdistan," stressing the need to harness all resources to advance the Region.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Copper and Cables Erbil company’s representative Sadiq Mohammed stated that "this factory, constructed on an area of 70 dunams, houses several production facilities for wires and cables of various types and sizes."

He emphasized that this facility is “the most advanced and modern in the Region, capable of supplying the entire market of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq with products,” noting successful exports to Turkiye and Greece, and the capability to export to various countries around the world.

Mohammed highlighted that Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, has previously sent copper waste abroad for recycling and subsequent re-import. “Now, the company will undertake this process domestically.”

“The factory's products will significantly impact the wire and cable market in the Region and Iraq, as the facility utilizes cutting-edge technology. The factory will also provide job opportunities for 700 families.”

The "Copper and Cables Erbil" project is a modern and integrated industrial complex for general trade, occupying a vast area of 175,000 square meters with an investment exceeding $80 million. It is a comprehensive industrial complex where all manufacturing processes are conducted, from recycling copper waste to producing copper wires and cables.

It is a strategic project built by local labor and complies with global quality standards, with the purity of the copper used reaching 99.99%.

World Bank: Iraq has taken steps to develop human capital

The World Bank confirmed, on Wednesday,that the Iraqi government has taken steps to develop human capital, while indicating that investing in human capital is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development.

The World Bank Group representative, Bilal Zaghir, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The first conference on human capital development in Iraq is related to supporting Iraqi civilization and its future," noting that "investing in Iraqi human capital is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development for all groups."

He added, "The timing and focus shown by the Iraqi government in this area will lead to the development of human capital and will continue at an accelerating pace in the coming days."

Yesterday, Tuesday, the first conference on human capital development in Iraq was launched, with the attendance of the Ministers of
Planning, Health, and Labor, and a number of members of the House of Representatives.

NORI AL-MALIKI STRIKES AGAIN…. Sad but True!!!

Former Iraqi Prime Minister and head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, has said that confronting Israel is not solely Hezbollah’s responsibility and urged all Iraqi militia groups to join the fight against Israel, potentially further involving Iraq in the conflict. Now we can see the use of these Iranian militias stationed in Iraq. 

Why have they not yet expelled them from Iraq? 

We can clearly see how evil this man Nori al-Maliki is. He hates the Kurds and he hates the Jews. Does he even love himself? He is an evil man! But we wonder how he still exist even in Iraq?

 Who is allowing this to happen. Like I said many years ago, there will NEVER be peace and total stability in Iraq unless this man is dealt with and justice is served upon him for what he has done and is doing to Iraq.

 Is he really that powerful and protected that he can’t be touched? Will God intervene and help Iraq?

So, do you think this could, if these militia did react to Maliki’s call to fight (not saying they are going to listen to Maliki), effect the timing of the RV? Of course it would delay it, but it wouldn’t stop it.

I have been following you since I got into this investment. While I find some of your comments frustrating, they are the truth. I believe you. So today, when you said that you believe 1000% that the RV will not happen until November…again, frustrating that you don’t think it’s going to happen TODAY, but what I read into it is hopeful, and I read that it IS GOING to happen. We’ve waited this long, what’s another month. Please be right. We ALL need this to come to fruition. Thank you again.

2024 Census.. Planning receives 125 thousand tablets and stresses the confidentiality of citizens’ data

The Ministry of Planning announced that it has received 125,000 tablets that will be used by researchers and enumerators to conduct the general population census, which is expected to be implemented on the 20th of next month.

 

The ministry's media spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a press statement, "The past few days witnessed the arrival of 125,000 tablets to the ministry, which will be distributed among researchers and enumerators in the governorates to conduct the general population census that will be implemented on the 20th and 21st of next November, noting that a curfew will be imposed on these days to facilitate the procedures of the census employees."
He added that his ministry had prepared early to conduct the general population and housing census after efforts and preparations to implement the census had reached their peak, having made several strides through training and qualification operations for enumerators and researchers.
Al-Hindawi explained that the aim of the census is to draw a picture and map of the demographic reality to diagnose development gaps and gaps and create an image represented by numbers, statistics, details, data and development reality through sectors related to the characteristics of life. 
He stated that the information that researchers will obtain from citizens will be of the highest degree of confidentiality and will be used exclusively for census purposes, noting that this procedure seeks to achieve development goals and diagnose the defect in order to develop solutions through a long-term plan that depends on the accuracy of the data to reach and identify the drawing of the new map that includes all the needs and services that should be provided.
