The HCL has been long done! ....Article 140 and the disputed territories, done!  The redenomination at the onset, that rate is done!  Awaiting nothing but the release and 

 The citizens of Iraq are not exchanging for the float.  They're exchanging for purchasing power.  That's all the Iraqi citizens get.  They only get purchasing power of their currency which is everything to them.

 There were a few statements released by the GOI officials regarding their currency.  The coming value at the onset of the release was revealed.  That value was disclosed at/in negotiations...

 [Iraqi bank friend Aki Update] 

They had a zoom meeting.  It was with the CBI, all other banks and US Treasury, IMF, everybody, they were all in this zoom meeting.  

They told him a lot but the only important thing...was I was told once again, 'We need you to be back at the bank because at anytime you are going to be very busy.'  Aki is just like you and I, sitting there waiting...

 About two weeks ago   we told you IOO the banks of Iraq were going to be receiving sample sheets/specimens . 

 They were very very precise pictures of the lower notes.  It turns out #1 has them. ..They started to practice and use them but they needed more help so they requested. 

 You will see this request on the CBI website probably within this week where they are requesting help with the security features in the small notes that they are practicing counting, sorting and training right now  ..

.The new software will be with them and the banks within this week.

Launching the salary funding of security institutions in Kurdistan for the month of February

The Ministry of Finance announced, on Wednesday, the launch of the remaining salary funding for employees of security institutions in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq for the month of February in accordance with the decision of the Federal Court.

The ministry said in a statement received by “Economy Nboz”: “Based on the procedures of the Ministry of Finance in financing the salaries of the region in accordance with the decision of the Federal Court, the Accounting Department of the Ministry launched the financing of the remaining salaries of employees of security institutions in the region for the month of February, according to the letter of the Ministry of Finance of Accounting Department No. 9133 in 2024/4/3.”

She added that “this came in fulfillment of all the requirements followed in financing the salaries of federal government employees, and based on what was stated in the books of the Financial Supervision Bureau numbered 8422 in 2024/3/28 and 8670 on 2024/4/1.”

The Central Bank of Iraq announced, on Wednesday, its hard currency sales, reaching about $256 million in today’s transactions, according to the official 1310 price.
 
The bank’s data showed that the total internal cash withdrawals were $11,710,000, while the total amounts of overseas transfers involving remittances and credits were $244,703,014, while the total sale was $256,413,014.

  The HCL simply waits for the new exchange rate to be released just like everything else is waiting for it.  You, me, contracts, investors, Forex, etc etc.  

Article: "Al-Shammari reveals the most prominent files of Sudanese’s visit to Washington and the government’s ambition regarding the dollar"   THE FINANCIAL FILES WILL REPLACE THE PROGRAM RATE  Quote:  "The government is planning to reduce the dollar to the official rate."  This is certain, but it takes time.

  The next thing I want to see [After the restrictions are lifted on the one main Iraqi bank] is the budget being amended and released because then after that it's a domino effect.  Everything else will follow it...

The CBI announcement - We believe it's about the currency.  We believe it's about the auctions.  We believe it's about a change in the auctions, a metamorphosis of the auctions which is exactly what the US Treasury wanted in order to have security and stability in the bank, which was exactly what was needed in order to bring forth a new exchange rate for their currency.

  [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] 

  FIREFLY:  Ramadan is over on the 8th.  Then we have EID holiday from the 8th to the 14th and then on the 15th Sudani is supposed to go to Washington D.C...It's time to get a little excited...

   FIREFLY: The foreign minister already in USA is a prelude to Sudani grand stand that's coming April 1st, our new fiscal year.   

FRANK:   So much is now pointing for your 1st quarter.  April the 1st or maybe the first week of April especially with Sudani going to see the President of the United States in Washington DC on the 15th of April.  It seems to me he's going to go see the president with a new exchange rate under his belt...not the weak leadership of a program rate.

  FIREFLY: TV is say when Sudani goes to Washington.  OMG that's a long time off.  Means nothing changing until after that probably, if it does this year.  

FRANK:  I don't care if it happens on the 15th of April.  I don't care if it happens tomorrow.  I just know it's happening with all that we're seeing.  The proof is there.  There's no doubt about it.

 FIREFLY:  Tv talked about  parliament finance has been meeting...with the CBI officials talking about mechanisms to pay the salaries and all the project we have.  This is a good sign.  They are meeting right before the budget goes to parliament next week. 

 FRANK:  Firefly knows if it does go to parliament and they vote, it will expose an exchange rate.  Certainly not a program rate.

FIREFLY:  Talked to bank friend.  He told me it seems to be the quiet time but soon news on the amending budget will appear...Nothing will get done, so it's going to be soon.   The dropping of the zeros is off the exchange rate...We were told on TV that during next week the 2024 amended budget will arrive at parliament for their vote.  

 FRANK:  Stay very close to your friend because at any moment IMO I believe he'll be able to give you what you're looking for, what they promised you.
