Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani opened an iron and steel factory in Basra Governorate.
Al-Sudani’s office said in a statement received by Mawazine News, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani opened in Basra the rolling mill, one of the factories of the General Iron and Steel Company, with a production capacity of (500) thousand tons annually of different types of iron.”
He pointed out that "the factory has been closed since 2003."
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani arrived this Saturday morning in Basra Governorate to inaugurate and follow up on a number of projects in the governorate.

He explained that "the application of everything new and advanced through the use of modern technology in work meets all the needs of partners from the private and public sectors to access distinguished electronic customs services for all those dealing with them and provide all information and computerized automated systems.
