AL-ZAIDI TELLS VICTORIA TAYLOR: IRAQ IS OPEN TO ALL INITIATIVES WITH AMERICA
Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi affirmed on Wednesday (September 2, 2026) that Iraq is open to all initiatives that contribute to strengthening bilateral relations with the United States, pointing to the promising future of mutual Iraqi-American partnerships, especially those related to the development, energy and economic sectors, during his reception of a delegation from the Atlantic Council Institute headed by the director of the Iraq Initiative, Victoria Taylor.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, a copy of which was received by 964 Network , stated that “Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi received a delegation from the Atlantic Council Institute headed by Ms. Victoria Taylor, Director of the Iraq Initiative within the Council’s Middle East Program.”
According to the statement, “Al-Zaydi affirmed during the meeting Iraq’s openness to all initiatives that work to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, and the importance of elevating them in a way that achieves the common interests of the two friendly countries.”
The statement explained that “Al-Zaidi pointed to the promising future of mutual Iraqi-American partnerships in various fields, especially those related to the development, energy and economic sectors, given Iraq’s promising investment environment supported by the government’s measures to provide investment facilities to major American companies.”
