The Association of Iraqi Private Banks participated in the launch of the “Your House is On Us” initiative, which was held today in Baghdad organized by Hammurabi Bank and under the auspices of the Prime Minister and under the supervision of the Central Bank of Iraq.
The Association was represented at this event by Deputy Executive Director Ahmed Al Hashemi, who stressed the role of the Association in supporting housing projects and solving the housing crisis by strengthening cooperation between the banking and private sectors.
Al-Hashemi pointed to the importance of development initiatives that contribute to the provision of affordable housing units for citizens.
The initiative includes providing a solution to the problems of construction and high prices, as 25% of construction fees are paid, and the rest is used for the installment system over 7 years.
